Tirvengadam comes to Abhi's house and throws his weight about, including a neither here nor there yelling contest with Shanti, who comes to express her anxiety.
Easwaran, accompanied by Kargpagam, goes straight to one oft he top lawyers in Madras, Janakiraman, and asks him to handle Abhi's case. He agrees, cocking one eybrow at Karpagam, but not asking any questions. Easwaran says, Abhi is like my daughter. Janakiraman calls for the papers from Hariharan, the lawyer Anandhi and Bharati have arranged. They are sitting with him, when he says happily that Janakiraman is taking up the case. Anandhi is puzzled and angry, goes to see Janakiraman. She sees Easwaran and Karpagam talking. She talks rudely to Easwaran, saying his son is the one causing all this, why should they trust him (Easwaran). Karpagam tries to intercede.
Meanwhile, Prabhu's wife, upon seeing Abhi's arrest featured on TV (top news, before Abdul Kalam's news!), decides with her father in law that the truth must be revealed. But the cell phone is not working. She takes it to the cell phone dealer, who fixes it. But in doing so, he also sees the video of Prabhu's killing. Before he can say anything, she snatches the phone from his hands, and rushes off. He calls the inspector (long hair, I forget his name, who threatened Prabhu's widow with dire consequences if she did not testify against Abhi). The inspector hopes the cell phone is still with the dealer, but the dealer says the lady snatched it and took it away.
SELVI
Andavan makes the journey to GJ's place with Amar, talking sweetly to Tamarai and gritting his teeth and threatening GJ when Tamarai is out making coffee.
Selvi opens a mess. First customer is Chellapillai, totally by chance. Once he finds out selvi is the onwner, he promises himself that he will finish her.
Malar falls for Narayanan-II, the twin brother of Narayanan-I, the temple priest who is in love with Mahima. Narayanan-II is the proverbial evil twin, earns well and chases women. Malar is in his sights now.
PENN
Vijay returns home in the night, having conceded game set and match to Ranga. His parents and Mohini tease him, but he tells them Ranga has agreed to the wedding.
Next day, Uma goes to Kadambam. Ranga is cool. She is there to checkmate Chitra, on whome Kumar has gathered dirt (father sick, mother mad, etc.). Threatens to expose her unless she cooperates and gets Swati married to Vijay. She agrees, having no alternative.

KOLANGAL, Tuesday, 17th Oct episode.
Anandhi is curt with Eshwaran and tells him that the father of someone like Adhi cannot be trusted. And she holds her mother's hand and walks out.
She and the other reporter guy prepare an article explaining all the wrong doings of that minister (Rekha's dad) and give this to their editor but someone else says they should not publish this and get into trouble with a person as powerful as the minister.
The policeman (who is on Adhi's side) comes to the widow's place (wife of Prabhu) and demands to know where she is. The father-in-law says he does not know. He is threatened by the policeman, who gives orders to his henchmen to get her alive or dead. He asks the FIL where the cell phone is. The FIL says he does not know what he is talking about. Meantime, the lady is returning home but notices the police jeep outside and she runs away. She tries calling Anandhi, but Anandhi is at her office, trying to convince her editor to publish the article, so she misses the call. She later comes out and tries calling that number, but it is from a PCO.
At Abhi constructions, three suppliers are asking Bhaskaran what will happen to their money. Bhaskar asks them to calm down and one retorts, "I have supplied materials for 12 lakhs, how can I calm down, knowing that Abhi is in jail?". He somehow convinces them to give him two more days to sort things out. They agree and leave. Rajamani madam comes in, saying she cannot believe Abhi has been arrested. Bhaskar says that Tholkappian has done this to them all. He says that Abhi is arrested and Thols is missing. He suggests that the other man (what is his name?) take up the job of being the boss for the entire company. He says that he was once Abhi's boss and that his business did not run well. He does not want to be a boss again. Then he suggests that Bhaskar himself take up the job. Bhaskar is pleased but pretends that he is not interested in taking up that role.
Eshwaran goes back home and finds his house empty. He learns from the maid that his wife Kanchana fell ill after what happened earlier and that she has been admitted in the hospital and that is where everyone is. He rushes to the hospital but there, Adhi, (the perenially angry man!) prevents his dad from entering the room. He yells (as usual): "YOU are the reason why my mother is sick and now, you want to come here, like a good man. NO WAY!". His grandmother tries to intervene and say that Eshwaran should be allowed to go in. Eshwaran himself says, "This is my wife I want to see, I don't need anyone's permission" but Adhi is determined not to allow his dad to go in, creating a scene. Eshwaran goes back.
Prabhu's wife goes to the reporter's house, to give him the news about the cell phone. He is not there, but his sister is (I did not know that Ganga is his sister). Ganga asks what the matter is. The lady is confused and says she does not know if she ought to tell her or not. She says she feels bad that Abhi has been arrested regardin this, on false charges. Ganga says: "You came to see my brother, right? You can tell me, then". The lady, who is very scared, blurts out that the cell phone had the recording of the person who killed her husband and hands over the phone to Ganga (without realizing that Ganga is on Adhi's side).

Engagement ceremony for Goofy and Swats - Thatha is reluctant to go through with it esp that Ranga has agreed to write off all the sothu - but Chitra convinces him it is for the best (she's been blackmailed by Uma and co). While Thatha gets convinced, the other side refuse to exchange plates, claiming they need written agreement from Ranga. Ranga, having prepared for this, presents her own agreement where she has written off MD post and her shares in the company to Swati's name. Uma & co protest - Vijay intervenes claiming he is the one who prepared Ranga's agreement. Uma & co in shock.
The other bit about Pungudi track is best described as yuck...basically Deepa and Poongudi reconciling...Deepa calling PG her sister and convincing KAsi that she won't spoil her life...and Kasi with the help of PG's two goon friends trying to get some 'legyam' to get the Kailasu-Poongudi couple 'together'
....as I said one big YUCK..
KOLANGAL. Wed, Oct 18th episode:
Prabhu's widow hands over the cell phone to Ganga saying that Abhi is a good woman and that the real killer should be caught and put behind bars. Ganga wonders what to do.
Meantime, a whole group goes to the prison, to see Abhi. Abhi's mother, ex husband, ex MIL, Rajamani madam, that other guy working at Abhi constructions, Ganga....totally nine people. Bhaskar learns that only three people can go in, so he says that he, Abhi's mother and Rajamani madam should go in. The ex MIL creates a big scene by lamenting how she cannot see her dear daughter in law. She annoys everyone (as usual). Finally, Abhi's mother goes in first. She is very pained that Abhi is behind bars, but Abhi tells her to be strong and to confident that she will come out. "This time, they don't want me to come out at all, so they have tried their best to lock me in, but I am confident that those who made me cry...will face the same when I come out", she says.
Next, her ex-husband and Rajamani madam come in. She tells Rajamani to take care of the office, since she is in jail. Rajamani asks why she should get into trouble and tension because Abhi is in jail. "You and Adhi have enemity, but why should I suffer because of that? " she asks. Then she says that Bhaskar should take care of the company. Abhi does not like it and says that the other guy (her former boss, I forget the name of the character) should take up the job, but Rajamani says that he is not interested. Then Abhi asks about Thols and is told that Thols is not around. She says (Rajamani), again, that Bhaskar should be given the power, and brings out the relevant papers and asks Abhi to sign. Abhi is hesitant but is forced to sign. As soon as she signs it, Rajamani walks out. Bhaskar is about to walk out too, but Abhi asks him where Tholkappian is. Bhaskar tells her that Tholkappian is not around and that when he gets any news about him, he will let her know and he walks out.
In the last bit, Tholkappian is shown walking around in an ashram.
Penn update:

Continuation of the engagement ceremony. Vijay says that either his family accepts the agreement with all shares in Swats'name or he becomes a live-in son-in-law to Ranga 'athai'. (I guess this is how he shows his spine) Cornered, Uma & co, decide to proceed with engagement.
Ranga's son #3 confronts her about giving everything away to his sister...and demands an equal share. (Man, this guy is a ruthless, good for nothing hooligan) Ranga pours some senti abt how as a kid, he didnt say his first word till 3 yrs of age, now he is saying so many harsh words. Then she assures him she'll give him an equal share..son gives her a 2 day ultimatum. Thatha watches all this and after son leaves pours salt in the wound with 'I told you so..its your fate - so suffer'
Back to the Pungudi-Kailasu-Kasi yuckness, which I won't elaborate on. In short, Kasi tries to get Kailasu to take the legyam, Kailasu sees through the tricks and refuses, and Kasi ends up eating it himself. (Is this supposed to be funny??? Please let this be the end of this grosss storyline)

Chitra's little kid asks smartly if Mohini ever marries Bharani, should she call Mohini 'Amma'. Chitra hits her. FOllowed by scene where Bharani, instigated by Chitra, also demands Ranga an equal share of the property.

Scene I
Lotus Pad
GJ soghamaa upstairs varuvaar. Thams confronts him and asks who killed Wind. GJ asks how he should know. Thams speculates that God and Amar are suspicious, but no matter what, Wind's death was a tragedy. She says that God will definitely punish whomever killed Wind. The minute she says this, background music of conch shell and temple bells clang. GJ gets flustered and says to just leave things alone.
Scene II
Temple
Mahi drags Madhu along. She asks Madhu if she knows Narayanan (aka bad Chikna). Madhu asks how Mahi knows him. Mahi responds by asking whether she likes Narayanan. madhu wonders about the line of questioning. Mahi asks whether they love eachother. madhu denies love has happened, but there is a lot of phoning/chatting, etc. going on...and who knows where things could lead. Mahi tells her to drop all relations with him because he is a bad seed. Madhu doesn't want to believe it....she tells Mahi to basically mind her own business and walks away.
Scene III
Nagu's House
Nagu and Velu arrive on a motorcycle. Velu wonders why Nagu is home so early. Nagu says he missed his daughter's school function and is dreading a possible scene. Daughter is sitting in her chair, angry/sad expression on her face. Nagu apologizes for missing the function. Some back and forth, and Divya (ahhhh...a name) tells him to quit his job if it takes his attention away from her. Nagu patiently continues to apologize and asks whether she has eaten. She says she doesn't want anything. he goes into the kitchen to bring her some food anyway. She has walked out to the balcony by then and Nagu follows her there. He tries to feed her and she knocks the plate away. Nagu slaps her in return.
Divya is sitting at a table...still angry/sad. Selvi calls up and Nagu tells her that he hit Divya. Selvi talks to Divya and clears the air....she gets back on the phone with Nagu and forces him to apologize to Divya. He goes to the dining table to apologize, but Divya beats him to it. Nagu gets emotional.
Scene IV
Lotus Pad
GJ still wandering the hallways of the house, violin players in the background are getting a good workout with the sogham music. Suddenly, GJ's conscience?? appears...dressed in dark clothes...must be the bad alter ego. He advises GJ that God and Yoyo are plotting to kill him and he shouldn't be complacent. Bad GJ tells bad GJ (hehe) to become bad again. He says that he needs to become a worse person than God/Yoyo/Pandiyan, etc. He brings up the 46lakhs that GJ paid to Pandiyan...and says that somehow that money needs to be recovered. Ego disappears and GJ walks out of the hallway. Next GJ is in the pooja room in the Lotus Position (fitting for Lotus Pad). He is in deep meditation and we see flashes of the dock area where Pandiyan hides out. GJ opens his eyes, and next, an SUV is screeching towards that dock area. ADiyaaLs are strategically positioned in the multicolored shipping containers, and peer out at GJ. They start running to follow the SUV. The doors of the SUV open and out comes.....GI JOE!!! Back in his fatigues, with 2 new sidekicks. Pandiyan is told that GJ is coming.
GJ is being hoisted up on a lift and placed on top of some of those containers...wearing shades to offset the clash of striped shirt and camoflauge pants he is dressed in. He walks toward Pandiyan, who also walks towards him. they are standing face to face...

Oct 18, 2006 - Wednesday updt
Papa Bear and daughter bear are swimming in the pool and Mama Bear Shanthi is watching with pride. (if you could call that swimming!)
Papa bear instructs Shanthi to order food for them and she finds Abi there and talks to her abt the fate of her college. Abi returns saying it is none of Shanthi's business and Shanthi points out that abi once said she would allot a seat for Indu..(perhaps free voice makeover or lessons?)
Kartik comes and stops Shanthi and abi watches with green eyes the camaraderie among those three..
Earlier I was told that SKPD was talking with him mom or abt his mom and that he was operating a trust under her name...and under no circumstances, his name should come out connected with the trust.
This was stage setting for the mailman to come drop a long-lost invitation to ACD..it was from one PechiammaaL trust and ACD's dad recalls how he struggled for money and the trust paid for his son's education.
Poms and Shyam are talking and Shyam is concerned that Poms is too concerned abt her valuable scattered here and there and so has shrewdly figured out a way to safeguard all - bank locker. and produces a key for Poms to lap up.
Nallaan vacuums Pom's room and finds the envelope and before he could open it up, there are distractions and so he tosses it behind Raju annan's photo.
(I am sure tomorrow will be raju anna's death anniversary and Shanthikka will come strealthily to abi's house to snatch the photo or change garlands and will end up with the envelops)
Abi is concerned abt the cheri folks protests and is talking to her lawyer and asks him to do something when the kuppathu makkaL storm in to her house, breaking the gate, while abi calls out for police protections.

KOLANGAL, Thur, Oct 19th episode:
Tholkappian is in an ashram and he asks the Swamiji there some questions about life. He is perturbed about the rift between him and Abhi but the Swamiji says that that issue might be irrelevant to him at a later point.
At Abhi's home, it is dinner time and Aarti asks her mother to have dinner. Mother is very pained and says that when her daugher Abhi is suffering this way, she cannot drink even water. Just then, Anu is planning to leave and Aarti overhears that Anu is going to the hospital to see her "mother" Kanchana. Aarti is infuriated and shouts, "That Adhi is the cause for all this and you want to go and see them all?!". Anu explains that her mother does not have anything to do with the enemity and asks what is wrong in her visiting her mother. Chittappa Thiruvengadam comes and he too feels that what Anu says is correct. Aarti is irritated but Anu goes, anyway.
Chittappa too goes along to the hospital. Anu is very scared.
Adhi goes into the room to see his mother. His mother is sleeping. He comes out and the minister and his daughter Rekha tell him everything will go fine and that he should not worry. (What's it about the minister addresing Adhi as "Maapillai"?! Why does Usha keep quiet?!).
Anu is scared to go but Chittappa says, "I am like an army. Don't feel scared". Adhi notices Anu. End of episode. (he will be yelling at Anu tomorrow!). :)
P.S. Not sure if you are back yet, so this update. Now I shall step aside gracefully. :)
KOLANGAL, Friday, 20th Oct episode:
Adhi yells at Anu and does not allow her inside the hospital room. He does not listen to his grandmother's advice. The minister steps in and tells him to calm down and allow Anu inside.
Later, Adhi tells him that Anu made the family a laughing stock by running away and marrying a driver. The minister says he should show his anger towards Abhi and not Anu.
Adhi and the minister meet their lawyer to ensure that Abhi cannot get out of jail (the next day is her hearing). The lawyer assures them that there is no way that Abhi can get out. Just then, someone comes with a newspaper report that says Adhi and minister have been behind Abhi's arrest - the reporter is Anandhi. Again, Adhi shouts but is calmed by the minister who says that they should not go against the press.
At Ganga's house, her nephew notices the cell phone and plays with it. Ganga comes in and yells at him and asks him to go out. Her sister asks her what the problem is. Ganga says: "Do you remember that dance master? He is not just a dancer, he is also a murdered" and says that the cell phone has the footage of the murder of the policeman. The sister is shocked and says the matter should be sorted out and that she should help Abhi get out of jail. She tells Ganga, "I know you don't like Abhi, but she too is a woman like us and she should not be in jail". Ganga says she will think about it. That she will think about how to sort this out.
Shanthi comes to Ganga's house. She is worried about Tholkappian, who has not be home in several days. She asks Ganga if he had phoned her and Ganga says he did not. Shanthi wonders if Adhi and his men might have attacked Thols. She says: "That Adhi is crazy and because of his anger towards Abhi, will do anything; on several occasions, Thols has been with Abhi and opposed Adhi". Ganga asks her not to worry and says she will ask around.
