Ganga's mother meets an old friend at the temple. She is interested in Ganga as bride for her son who has come from the US. She gives this news to her husband who says he doesn't have a daughter by name Ganga. Ganga who happened to be there says she will take care of that. Easwaran informs his mother in law of the meeting he had with Karpagam. She agrees with Maragatham and asks Easwaran to arrange for Anu Kishore marriage. They both are scared of the results as Anu is a very adamant girl. Bhasker's sister's old boy friend comes to their house and declares his love for her. Just then the mother enters and gives him a thrashing. The land lord comes for the arrears rent. She asks the boy to escape by the back door. He is caught by Rajesh and gang and brought before Alamelu.

Selvi
Selvi goes to her boss and requests for 50000 rupees as advance as there is an emergency in the family He refuses as she had joined just a week ago. She finds Dilpan and he gives the needed amount. GJ who happens to be in the vicinity hears the conversation. Selvi comes with the money Amar rushes to Tamarai and says there is an oppurtunity to take her revenge on Selvi. He wants Tamarai to pay the money and befriend Malar so that Selvi will be isolated. Tamarai arrives at the hospital and pours out her love for Malar - she says Selvi has betrayed her as she had betrayed Malar. She forces her to accept the money. Selvi intervenes and says when the family is there others need not interfere. Malar shocks everyone asking Selvi who she was.

Penn
Dalliance between Kailash and the food stall lady's daughter. Deepa resolves one more problem at work. Manohar scared by Deepa/Anjali's appearance, flees the scene with Sivadhanu. At home, he finds a matchbox with Anjali's photo. Scared again. Comes back to show it to Sivadhanu, it is now a normal matchbox. Sivadhanu recommends using the amulet. Karthik gives Deepa's photo to grandfather, who has a plan for it -- probably going to give an ad in the paper to identify her.
