Shanthi Kartik and Indu come to the temple for the special puja After offering prayers they go for the pradakshanam Sreenivasaan and Abhirami come to the temple to place the new venture documents at the feet of the diety They are offered prasadam for the special puja offered by kartik Unknowingly they partake the prasadam and when they see kartik Shanthi and Indu collecting prsadam for distribution at home Sreenivasan and Abhirami's mood changes Arjun and Ghani go in search of the retired doctor only to be told he has movds away Rk and Laxman leave the hospital Uma who is at Shanthi's place meets a poor lady and her son who needed treatment for cancer and with Shanthis recommendation want to see the foreign doctor who
had treated Laxman Uma rushes to the hospital as Rk and Laxman are ready to leave She brings them home not speaking one word to either of them Laxman feeling guilty of lying to his dear daughter asks for pardon She breaks down saying he never gave her the chance to be with him in this hour Explanations didnot pacify her.

Malargal
Ashok breaks down viewing vidya's wedding video. He blames himself for the ruin of that family His sister in law consoles him and says since he repents for his misdeeds there is hope for him and asks him to leave home and make his life a decent one. His brother meets him at the door and announces a proposal for him from a well to do family. Ashok declares his plan of leaving home and findin a job elsewhere The brother consents because in this repentent mood he may be a hindrance when police come for questioning Bhasker goesto the cancer hospital to see Meenakshi. see his child and console his wife karpagam's parents arrive at the hospital in a warring mood for having been kept in the dark about Meenakshi's illness. Meenakshi herself asks them to leave and Karpagam also says the same thing.

The US returned boy flaunts his life style in the States. Ganga says she wants to talk to the boy She deflates his ego in two minutes She asks why he did not marry a girl from the States He says he wanted a traditional wife from India. manners and he should be ashamed of his daughter. The father comes home takes his anger on his wife and she faints. Thols who happens to come in just then goes for a doctor. The Christian missionary promises to look after Kartik. Pandian who happens to be there asks Anandi what she plans to do with Kartik. Does she still love him? Anandi says it is her humane reaction to
the suffering he is undergoing. Pandian declares his love for Anandi and that is the thing he had wanted to tell her. Her reaction is entirely different

Malar declares that she has no sister Selvi tells her due to their differences the treatment should not be delayed malar again says her husband's killer is living with her whereas Tamarai has cut her connection from tht evil man She is her friend Selvi is stunned and hurt by her sister's behavior Tamarai comes close to Selvi and says this is the first blow from her Soon she will face other blows and soon she will be on the streets At home GJ is in a foul mood He starts cursing Selvi He said it was a mistake he thought highly of Selvi where as she has turned out to be a hopeless person without scruples. Selvi's mother gives him back sharp rebukes. Prabhanchan went to attack GJ for his comments about Sevi. Selvi enters She is asked where she had been by GJ She tells them of Malar's child's illness and how she went and get cash for the treatment from Dilipan and how she was insulted and help was taken from Tamarai Mother coaxes her to have some food. Mostly about Mohini. She stages a big drama. When her mother in law calls her mother to tell her about the mishap, the phone actually goes to Mohini's cell. She pretends to be her mother, and berates poor Senthil's mother, who feels responsible and guilty. Meanwhile, Mohini phones her father and cries that she has had an abortion (accidentally).
