Dorai observing some ceremony notes two persons lurking behind a hedge. He offers the articles in the sea has a dip and runs towards the hedge followed by his policemen. He tells his parents there are people to get him. Police officer Ghani spots Govindan's wife and follow her and notes the house she is going into. It was Arjun's house. He decides to talk to Arjun asks him about their maid. Arjun gives the details that she and her son were from the villge and his wife being a social worker got the son admission into a orphanage and took her as a maid. Ghani tells Arjun she is the wife of Govindan a convict police are searching. He asks Arjun to observe and report if Govindan contacts her. ACDorai is also informed of this development. Invitations are being personally handed to people by RK and his wife. Shyam gives the invitation to ac Dorai. Dorai asks Shyam to give an invitation to the promoter. Promoter is happy that Shyam invited him. Hopes his sister will be there . He would surely be there. Promoter promptly informs Abhirami.

MALARGAL                           
Pandian goes to the lockup to see Ashok. He cries that without him he feels lost he should listen to the lawyer and give a statement that he has no connection to this crime. Ashok refuses to oblige he says he has to atone for all the evil things he had done accepting the verdict and undergoing imprisonment is the only thing he wants to do. He  enquires  about his anni and children. Pandian says he drove her out as she spent the night at. Gounder's place. Ashok pleads for his Anni. He tells his brother if he wants to help him he should take Anni and children home and lead a good life. Tulasi is taken to the prospective bride's house by the aunt. She sees the girl asks  the parents why are they ready to give their daughter as a second wife. The parents say that their poverty and the desire to see her settled in a good home makes it agreeable. Tulasi asks the same question to the girl. She says she would marry anyone her parents ask her to marry. They want  Shanmukam to see the girl. It is agreed that they would come to the  temple the next morning and meet Shanmukam. This is mami's plan. Tulasi fears he may not agree mami says she need not come to the temple they will take him. At Ramesh's house an old man in the family tells the uncle that Gounder family should be invited for the ceremonies. Gownder was humiliated and sent back on the funeral day. It is not proper. The uncle shouts him down and Sharada also forbids calling them. Ramesh is worried at the turn of events. Ganesh consoles him and says  mother will  will change. Sunderesan tells Gounder that Ramesh's people have not intimated them about the ceremonies but he should go. Gounder says it is not possible as that lady hates the sight of our famlyi. Meenakshi has to be taken for for check up. Murthy is asked to go to work. Gounder offers to take her. Karpagam requests her mother in law to go with meenakshi as she wanted to go and see her ailing mother. Murthy is angry and shouts at his wife she should not go. Karpagam asks the family. Has she ever gone to her home other than for the delivery of her daughter. As she is uneducated she is not treated properly. Mallika is given preferential treatment because she is educated. Even after she fought with Gounder. Bhasker  is asked to go and cajole and bring her back. Karpagam says she will go and see her mother. Gounder disgusted with his family says Not one girl in the family is happy. What is the curse ?"

KOLANGAL            
Adi thanks Usha for saving the family name. Usha tells him she loves the family and what is this formality of thanking her. Adi asks her to talk to Anjali and find out. Usha goes to Anjali and starts the subject. The families are happy is she happy to marry Kishore. Anjali says it is a bit confusing. Usha tells her kishore wnted to marry her but the famiy wanted the elder to get married and offered he agreed Anjali wants Usha to choose her engagement saree.      Thols comes to the ofifce. He says lack of restraint on Bhasker's part has landed them with a big problem with the union. Adi has gone to the Union. Ganga intervenes and says Bhasker didn't do any wrong. Thols asks her to keep quiet one must be wary of the labour problems. Bhasker started saying Thols hates him, he doesnt like him to work in this office. That man spoke ill of Abhi and So he couldn't stand it. Abhi and Thols and boss Swaminathan go to the union office. They were made to wait a long time then called in. The first question asked w aswho gave them power to hit the worker. Thols explained the situation and that  the worker got hurt in a drunken fight and claims from the site supervisor. As line of talk seem to be useless they leave the office. Ganga meets Bhasker

SELVI         
Selvi has a meeting to attend GJ goes and occupies the bathroom and time is short. Selvi's mother understands GJ's tacticts in obstructing Selvi's work Dilipan and Selvi start  She keeps silent   GJ resents every success of Selvi He walks up an down the stadium   He calls Maya  and tells her she was right Selvi and Dilipan are together doing business  He tells her Andavan has been ruined  She tells him he made a mistake not marrying her then and now this Dilipan thing also in trouble You come back says Maya   Amar is back in India He goes to Tamarai and tells tall stories about Selvi and Dilipan How Andavan has been duped  Selvi meets Andavan and Kathan   Asks them where  Puja is  He doesn't give her an answer   A fight develops. Selvi pushes Kathan, when Andavan comes charging at her, slaps him,  and hits Andavan with a chair. Andavan  curses her she will have to pay for this.

PENN
Mohini is lounging with a cool drink, face covered with a face mask cream (obscuring it, and thereby doing wonders for her beauty already). Muthukumar and she are joking about how they are going to make Senthil and mother and father suffer. Uma, who is sitting some distance away, is irritated. She scolds Muthukumar saying he is behaving like a juvenile, not realizing that Mohini's life is being affected if Senthil and she don't get back. Mohini answers that marriage is overrated, that a girl can be single too (but hinting that single is not the same as alone). Uma is aghast as this talk. Kala silently appears in their midst, bringing the file. She says I'm here because you sent Deepa back. "Deepa, what Deepa? Who's Deepa?" asks Uma. "The little vagrant you kicked out of the house the other day", offers Muthukumar. Kala realizes what has happened. "You mean you threw Deepa out of your house?" she asks Mohini speaks up and accuses Kala of lack of manners, saying she did not ring the doorbell but simply walked into the house. Uma is silent. But when Kala says, Uma, are you deaf, did you not hear your daughter insult me, are you going to say anything? Mohini starts to speak, but Uma stops her, saying that when she and Kala and Ranga speak, no one should speak in the middle. Muthukumar and Mohini fall silent. Then Uma says, the company is not important to me, my friendships are not. Only my daughter's life is. And when Ranga threw me out of her house...Ask Ranga to come and speak to me. Kala says, and if she doesn't? Then Uma says, then it is all over, my friendship, my relationship to Kadambam, everything. Mohini takes off on how it was Uma who built the company. Kala says something philosophical saying that her departure would not mean the end of the world.
Later Kala also employs the same tack as Deepa when reporting back to Ranga. She waters down Uma's insults, but the bottom line is that she has refused to sign. Ranga agrees to meet Uma, Kala says she will set up a meeting of the three of them.
Poongadi is sitting near a railway track. Kailash fears for her taking some extreme step, and pulls her away to talk. He tells her his heart is with another girl. She is grieved, but he wants to tell her his father really would like for him to marry her. If that girl doesn't like you, will you marry me? asks Poongadi. Why this fate for you, he asks.
