ANANDAM               17th july    
Abhirami is curt and rude to Sreenivasan. He tells her he cannot fathom her. He tells her hence forward he will not interfere in anything. AC Dorai reports to the commissioner about his meeting with Mahesh. Jeeva is living like a lord inside the jail. The boss asks how does the Jailor benefit by allowing this. Dorai says there is somebody from outside helping him. They decide to nab that person. Dorai is  reminded to keep an eye on Kanduvaddi. Kandu vaddi calls Abhirami to meet him. She  is impatient and wants to end the meeting. Kanduvaddi tells her Dorai is a terrific officer and he finds out the culprit in no time. The only snag in their operation in killing Govindan is the revolver left behind. He wanted her to be careful. Abhirami decides to distance herself from kandu vaddi. Uma takes out the envolope given by her father wondering when she may have to open it. Shyam did not come home as he had a lot of work so. Uma was sending the breakfast to the office. The manager calls Abhirami and informs of the emergency board meeting called by Shyam. Sreenivasan also gets the message. When he starts  asking for more details the manager cur short the conversation. Sreenivasan is upset by this. He  complains to Abhirami only to be told that she too got the information through the manager. Other board membrs are also puzzled. Shyam starts the meeting requesting the members to go through the file n front of them. He tells them only the person he asks should seak to him. One member says their products were rejected abroad and hence the loss. Shyam tells them that the three export orders had been made and bank loans taken in three different banks. One loan has been used in business and the other two have gone into personal accounts. There is silence all around.

MALARGAL    episode 192
  Sunderesan shivering with anxiety dreading to open his eyes opens his eyes as the cloth is removed sees a different person not Tulsi. The relief swells in his heart he shouts to Shanmukam and runs to him shouting it is hot Tulasi. It doesn't sink into Shanmukam  weeping uncontrollably. Sunderesan shakes him and tells him it is not Tulasi's body. Gounder and Sivakami come running. There is immense releif in everybodys face. An auto brings Shanmukam's parents and uncle. Weeping and crying they are given the good news. Sivakami starts abusing Saraswathi for torturing her daughter to desperation and it becomes difficult to seperate the fighting women. Gounder forcibly drags his wife away. Shanmukam is taken away by his friend. The parents and uncle return home. Now Saraswati's anger shifts to Sivakami and she vows to teach her a lesson. Shanmukam's father intervenes and says it was her goading that was the cause of all the trouble her anger turns against him and she she accuses him for his feelings towards his daughter in law. That made that timid man lose his temper and he kicks her with his legs. The brother in law takes hold of him and tells him he had put up with her tantrums for so many years he should continue to do now also Murthy comes home and finds out about Tulasi episode just then the Gounder party come and give the news that it is not Tulasi's body. Vidya rings and Sivakami picks up and gives the whole news crying. Gounder takes the phone and says they will find out Tulasi and enquires about her welfare. She says everybody is good to her. Ganesh goes to the shop and relieves Ramesh to go home as Anni is all alone.

KOLANGAL             
Alamelu tells Bhasker that if the Anandi Tholkappiyan marriage takes place their position will go from bad to worseso he should go and do something about it. She asks him to go and create trouble. He leaves with Rajesh. Abhi comes home with bags containing flowers and fruits for some puja. Aunt Sharada arrives asking why she was called. Mother is also surprised to see all this. Manohar is asked not to go out. Abhi tells them she had called the family to decide about Anandi-Thols marriage. Arti asks her that Anandi is not there they should wait till she comes back. The pandit comes Bahsker comes in and seeing a family meet wants to go back. Abhi asks him what brought him there. He wants a cheque signed. She signs the cheque. She and her mother asks him to stay. Arti is asked to bring coffee for him. Thols arrives enquiring what is the reason to call him. Bhasker mentions Rajesh is waiting outside. He is also called in. Abhi tells them that she called everyone to finalise Anandi Thols marriage. Thols says  Anandi should be there. Thols is taken aback. He tells Abhi that he had given a lot of thought and come to the conclusion that it not possible for him to marry Anandi. Mother comes out forcefully that it was decided and Anandi is such a good natured girl and all that  Thols says he has nothing against Anandi but he is not for the idea of marrying. Abhi tells him what had happened in the office is bothering him. Thols says he had forgotten it. Bhasker comes out with the idea that after all that. Abhi had done for him he should heed her words. Thols curtly asks Bhasker to stay out of this. Bhasker and Rajesh leave. Thols also leaves Abhi stands there her face turned red with having failed in her attempt to pull off this.

SELVI           
After the verdict Maya's father is weeping bitterly in the car. His son dead and the daughter in jail he has lost everything in life. What is there for him to live for ' Andavan says they will appeal to the higher court. Amar is angry with Dilipan forgiving that evidence. At the gate of their house an envelope is stuck in the gate. Amar opens reads and looks shocked so also Andavan and the father. The note contains the news that their son did not meet with an accident but was murdered the proof is there withe person who wrote the note. They go to the police station. The officer tells them when he suggested postmortem they wanted no postmortem and took the body. As Bala was buried the body can be exhumed and post mortem done. It is done. Sivamani is taking care of Selvi's baby. The neighbours ask her why she does not have a baby yet. Sivamani said they have planned to have later. That lady cautions her if she delays she may not conceive. Shivani's mind starts thinking on those lines. She expresses her wish to Niranjan he tells her that his sister's life is in shambles and their having a child can wait. She says she sympathises with Selvi but she should have her life also. He gets angry with her and lifts his hand to hit her and Selvi arrives. She scolds Niranjan for trying to hit his wife. She  asks what will happen to him if she hits him back. Niranjan says sorry Selviasks him to go and say sorry to Sivamani. Selvi in the shopping mall with her baby Seeing Tamarai's children she comes and greets them and they see the baby and they say Hi Selvimma andTamarai GJ and the kids go shopping to select a present for Malar's children s. Tamarai seeing Selvi and her baby near her children stares at them. The children who had greeted her now turn round and say they don't want to talk to her as she was the reason for their parents' separation. Selvi stands there stunned.

PENN
Mohini shows the anonymous letter to Muthukumar, who is hanging about her office. They decide it cannot be Senthil, nor can it be Bharani. They think it might be Chitra. Mohini calls her into her office and confronts her. Chitra says she has no need to do this, because she plans to become MD within five months. She walks out, leaving Mohini stunned. At Ranganayaki's home, the children all have their own agenda, and tell their grandfather what all they want since their mother is going into surgery shortly (bypass). The grandfather has a even grander plan: he is going to get a signature from Ranganayaki on a blank piece of paper. Kasi watches everything with disgust. Only Bharani says no one should talk about getting papwerwork in order, etc., because his mother's health is most important. Kasi wonders whence this concern. He does not know that Bharani has given the house paper to Solai, and hence his concern that no hunt for papers be commenced. At Uma's home, Mohini wants to make sure that Chitra's threat does not come true. Ranganayaki is going into surgery, and this may be a time for Chitra to gun for the MD seat. Tells her father to get Vijay married to Swati quickly. She can take care of keeping Bharani and Karthik away, so that the money will all come to her home in case Ranganayaki doesn't survive the surgery. Muthukumar smacks his lips. At the office, the whole staff is sitting on the floor and fasting and praying for Ranganayaki's health. Mohini walks past them with insulting comments, raising a hot retort from Kasi Anna.

ANANDAM        28th July
Rani goes back to Sreenivasan. He wonders if the son had sent her out or if she has come with some clever plan. She tells him that it was a mistake on her part to have left him and so she is back. She gives him excellent coffee. After drinking the coffee he tells her that the servant used to give him a kashayam. Sreenivasan plans to deduct his salary for that    She tells him she wants the whole family to be together. Shanthi advises Gautam and Ramya that it is better for Sreenivan to have her by his side so that the influence of Abhirami will be less. Abhirami comes later. He doesn't welcome her  . Seeing his wife there and the changed atmosphere she leaves. Sreenivasan tells her he does not need her. He has his companies to manage. Abhirami asksShyam what happened. Shyam tells her that when he found out the fraud. Sreenivasan committed she stopped him from taking action. When Gautam wanted to report on his father's action to the police. Shanthi stopped him. Abirami tells him that she sought his advice when RK left . he is our sambandi so let us have normal relationship Abhirami tells Shyam and Uma that they both are the most important people in her life. Jeeva's wife calls and he gives her instructions that one man will come in the night in a bike with no number plate. There will be a yellow bag in the handle bar. He will ask if the water tanker has come just say yes and take charge of the bag. He asks her to be careful  as the police are patrolling the area. Jeeva's wife gets the bag and takes it in.

MALARGAL episode 201
Four men come to steal coconuts. They hear two people talking in a hut near by Natarajan was consoling Kanthimathi to be brave and assured her that her brother is there to care for her. He promises to seek his mother's consent. The men wait and Natarajan and Kanthimathi emerge. The men attack them. Two men attack Natarajan and the other two drag kanthimathi into the hut. All the time Natarajan  tries to go near Kanthimathi without success. The men leave and Natarajan going into the hut sees Kanthimathi trying to hang herself. He stops her. She tells him  all is over the man had raped her. She was uncntrollable. She does not allow Natarajan to come near her. He consoles her. He says is there for her. She should go back home and he will come and meet her at the house the Aunt is furious with Gnanavel. She asks him to go and find his sister. He comes and finds them together. They hide the fact of the rape as Natarajan had planned. He tells his sister as he has found a job they are not at the mercy of the aunt. Natarajan promises to keep in touch. Then comes home. Natarajan finds his mother waiting for him. As he had asked for food she had cooked. She asks him to have food. He is in a dejected mood refuses food. The mother guesses he has some worry. The aunt and her cronies come shouting that her son is running after her niece  Meenakshi refutes saying he is a gem of a boy. She asks him directly to say if he has been with her niece Nataraj says no he does not know her. The mother asks the aunt to go and keep her niece in control they leave. Mother asks point blank is it about that girl. He does not answer and later says. No. She being his mother   knew he is not telling the truth. S he uses a different  approach. She tells him  the difficulties they have been through. She tells him there is a desire in her heart. Though poor their family has a good reputation. She has dreams of getting him married and with his children and wife to visit the sacred shrines. If this dream is to come true or not in his hands. This leaves him in a dilemma. He assures her he will not disappoint her. Later when he visits Kanthimathi in her brother's place, he hears the news which shook him. Nataraja Gounder cries as he relates the story to Sivakami. He tells her this has been in his conscience all these years that he had failed a girl.

KOLANGAL     
Bhasker had reported to the police. The mari group of people are leaving  and the police confront them. They ask what the complaint is about Bhasker and Krishnen say it ws an attempt to kill Bhaskerby them. They refutethe argument and get angry with Thols for letting them into this situation. They had helped Abhi construction in their hour of need. Abhi hearing a commotion asks what the problem was and seeing Mari group at her site gets angry that er order not to have them work here has been disregarded. She calls Thols. He tries to explain Bhasker continues his comments about Thols. She asks Bhasker to take back the complaint. As he gores he asks Thols what had happenend to him. As he tries to explain she refuses to listen. Rekha cries and her father consoles her. He had never let her cry in her life he had granted each and every whim of hers. She cries because he was humiliated by Usha and Adi never ppunished her. She is angry with him. Adi enters hearing this and says he hates Usha he loves her. He became her partner. He leaves. The father says Adi is a married man and instead of waiting for him she can marry someone richer and infuential and lead a happy life. She says she wants to become the daughter in law of that house  by marrying Arjun and teach Usha a lesson. Her father agrees and asks her to arrange a party. Thols sitting and thinking about the day's happening. Shanthi asks him what is bothering him just then mari and his men come. They tell him he had let them down. He had helped them to shed their crooked ways and reform themselves and it is difficult to go back to the bad ways. Why did he not plead for them. Thols says He did but Abhi ordered that you should all not work there. One of the men said Abhi is not a good woman. Thols lost his temper and caught hold of him and beat him up. They all became angry and tell Thols he will have to pay for this. Anandi comes back from her trip. Amma  looks worried and Abhi just said Hi and kept quiet. When she asked again the incident of. Anandi-Thols marriage and his refusal are related Anandi smilingly says she asked him to say that. She had decide d earlier that Thols is not the man she wants to marry. Abhi asks why she didnt object when they discussinf her marriage. She says Amma is disappointed about all her three girls' life she didn't want to deperess her on that day. Abhi tells her Tholkappian  has changed now. Anadi says when a man like Bhasker enters a man like Thols has to go.

SELVI       
Dilipan is drawing something on the wall of the cell. A sturdy fellow enters and pulls him up and gives a punch. Dilian sks who he is and whyhe is harasing him. He calls for the  police on duty. No body comes Dilipan is given one punch on his face and he falls down reeling with pain and bleeding profusely. Amar is seen in a happy mood along with Gj. Later the police officer enters the cell and both the men are taken to the hospital and the police officer is asked to make a report. Selvi comes to the hospital and the officer says it is a fight between two prisoners. She comments that Dilipan is not the one to start a fight this is the plan of somebody from outside. The police officer does not like this comment. Later they go thee to ward. Dilipan is bandaged. Only one eye is without bandage. The officer  calls his name no response. He allows Selvi to try and talk to him. Selvi calls he responds. She asks what happened. He says unprovoked he was beaten. Selvi says it is a plot she will find who abducted Andavan. She will take him home. She asks Dilipan's assistant to be on guard in the premises. She goes to the beach asks the habitual people in that part of beach if they had seen this person showing Andavan's photo. The police offier goes to the offender's cell and chats with him. He says he is a graduate without a jo. He is a frequent visitor of this jail. He turns round and asks the officer to get him a job what is the salary he asks the offier he asks 15000 rupees  officer asks if he would like to get married and all of a sudden get  hold of him and asks hm why he beat that man and tells him he can see he is lying  his eyes say that. Who sent you here to do this job. You will be beaten up every time.

PENN
Anjali/Deepa continues:
Manohar, Ravindran, Akash and a few others try to take revenge on Anjali for her speaking to the press and getting the M and R suspended for one term. They disrupt her perfornance at the college function, where she sings that now-familar song. After the function, as she is approaching her hostel, Ravindran and Manohar pursue her. She runs, but as she reaches the gate, Akash is there to shut it. She struggles and finally manages to escaped unharmed (but frightenend and terrified). The next day Akash approaches her and asks her to forgive him. She says she plans to report everything to the dean. He pleads with her. She says she understands his remorse is not true: he just wants to make sure he doesn't tell Jamuna, his girl friend. Anyway, she decides not to tell Jamuna. Later, Jamuna's brother Sunil approaches her and speaks of his love for her. She likes him, but is conscious of her promise to her father, and also the fact that Sunil has lent her money for her education, which would give rise to talk if she there was any romantic connection between them. Sunil speaks to Jamuna, who promises to speak to Anjali's parents after she graduates. Jamuna also tells Akash that they should help bring Anjali and Sunil together. Akash agrees on the surface, but decides inside to molest Anjali. Akash seems to be a divided personality.

July 27

Kolangal
Meeting. Bhaskar's proposal to go in for the new project is supported by Rajamani ammal. Abhi also agrees after initial hesitation. Bhaskar looks triumphantly at Tolkappian. Finally, Tolkappian says he opposes the decision and cannot be party to it, gets up and leaves.

SELVI
Satya is blackmailed some more by the same guy. This time the man calls him again on the cell phone, and mocks him, telling him to pick up a packet he has left for him from a nearby store. When Satya does so, he discovers that it has all the photos of him with Bala on the night he killed him. He tries burning the photos.

Amar gets a phone call from the police to identify a body at the Mahabalipuram beach. He goes there in great anxiety, and is relieved to find it is not his father. Soon GJ joins him. GJ deliberately says things like "I knew it wouldn't be your father, how can it be without my knowing it..." When Amar asks for a clarification he says something innocuous. He is playing with Amar's mind. Finally, he tells Amar that the police are acting too slowly, we need to extract the truth from Dilipan. They decide to hire a criminal to get into prison and beat up Dilipan to interrogate him in their own way.

PENN
Deepa continues:
I spoke with the press, and the reports appeared all over. The college was forced to suspend the two boys for a few days. There was another boy involved too, I told the press, but I didn't see his face. My father was furious, but I persuaded him that the girl in a coma was just like Revathi (sister) to me. Meanwhile at the Manohar household, his father Vaikuntan comes to his mother and accuses her of raising a wayward son. She says it is more his contribution, to which responds with rage and fury. When he tells Manohar of the Dean's decision to keep him and Ravindran away for a few days, Manohar asks why. When the father tries to preach to him, son says don't get too holy, I know all your vices, and proceeds to list illicit drinking in the college, fondling female patients, watching raunchy videos, and even more (says something with voice muted). Father is shocked.

ANANDAM      27th July          
Jeeva  comes and starts a conversation with AC Mahesh. He assures him that he need not listen to ACDorai and turn approver. He has people outside who can finish off Dorai in no time. Mahesh appears surprised at Jeeva's proud claims. Jeeva boasts of his influence inside the jail. Uncle and Induare returning from school in an auto. The auto has some problems and uncle decides to engage a different auto. This auto man demands the whole fare though they had hardly travelled some distance. A police car stops and ACDorai comes and enquires about the trouble. Seeing a police cheif the auto man refused even the part payment left saluting Dorai. On keen observation Uncle finds out Dorai is Vijay's best friendin the village  enquring about Vjay. Dorai is sad he is no more. Uncle and Indu arrive home in Dorai's car. Dorai asks Shanthi to contact him if she needed any help. Sreenivsan gets a courrier message and finds it is his son;s. He gives the address and sends him there. Ramya receives the message and Gautam finds out that it is from a bank asking the loan repayment  with interest.They get worried. Ramya suggests to seek Rohini's help he decides to follow the advice. At the jail Jeeva is giving pep talk to Mahesh that his people will deliver the cash  to his family and Dorai will face his death. He calls his men outside and gives instructions.

MALARGAL        
Natarajan's mother showers abuses at Kanthimath's aunt and the defiant aunt gives back replies She asks the mother. Nataraj's mother hears the story how her son got beaten up by Kanthimathi's brother. She would not listen to his friend's explanation that he went to return the golusu and the brother mistook his motive. Mother cursed their family. Kanthimathi 's aunt gave a ruder reply and asked her to control her son. Natarajan is sad about his mother;s harsh words about Kanthimathi. Kanthimathi is sad that she did not have the guts to say that he is a good man. Natarajen goes to the mannippu parai and says aloud his position seeking forgiveness. But before that kanthimathi also says aloud her feelings and asks for forgiveness. Then they both meet. He asks her if she loves flowers she replies she  asked the flowers for the deity as she never adorns her hair with flowers she did not want to be known as a flirt. Nataraj gounder tells this story to Sivakami and says he had love for that girl. But Kadirvel is not his son. She tells him that because of her aunt's character no one until the n had offered to marry her and she loves him. He told her that he will get his mother;s consent.

KOLANGAL
Ganga is shocked to see Ramachandran ordering people and she finds out he is employed. Thols tells her he suggested there is a vacancy. She tells Thols he is asking for trouble. Thols tells her this is Tit for Tat. She asks Krishnan and Bhasker go and meet a person who offered a site for Abhi construction. When the deal is through Bhasker will get Five lakhs as commission. Krishnan asks for money too. That money will suffice for his sister's wedding.

SELVI
At the court, Dilipan is remanded to 15 days in judicial custody, while the police fully investigate the disappearance of. Andavan and Karthan. This is celebrated as a further victory by GJ and Amar. Selvi says now that all restraint is off, she will fight fire with fire. Amar is shaken, but GJ maintains a brave front. At Amar's home, Bala's wife accuses Malar of bringing bad luck. Ever since she set foot in the home, says Bala's widow, Bala died, Maya got sentenced, her father in law left the home in grief, and now Andavan and Karthan disappeared. She says she would like to live a little longer, so she was leaving the vicinity of Malar. Malar is upset, but not much she can do. More tension for Amar, who is really traumatized by his father's mystery. GJ calls him for some drinks. Amar apologizes to GJ for how badly he and his father had treated him, and how much good GJ was doing to him in return. GJ makes an appropriate quote from the Kural, saying that you should shame those who do bad to you by doing good to them.

The girl was in a coma.
Well, it turned out that the fathers of Ravindran and Manohar were two senior professors at the medical college. They pressured me to keep silent, or else...
But when the press came to follow up, although the college principal and the two professors browbeat them, said there was no ragging in the college, but also threatened to sue for
libel if they printed anything, the students urged them to get at the truth. The students told the press people that Anjali had seen the truth. Anjali said to them she would speak if they agreed not to use her name or photograph.

July 25

ANANDAM     25th July      
Kartik finally gets through. Uncle who hadjust come picks up the phonehe gives the good news to Shanthi. Shanthi could not speak due to the excitement on hearing his voice. Kartik also is releived at hearing her voice. Indu also speaks asking him to come home soon. Talking to Shanthi he requests her to go to Balaji's house and take part in the funeral ceremonies. The same scene is repeated at RK's place. Madan receives the call and RK Rajeshwari and Rohini get to speak with him. There also Kartik asks Madan to be present at Balaji's house with the whole family for the funeral ceremonies. At the business premises a portrait of Balaji garland with the whole staff paying homage by observing a minute silence is observed. Arjun and a few others remember Balaji for his great qualities. Shanthi remembers Balaji with great affection and respect >From the time he came to their village with her husband's body till the time she and Kartik were married. Balaji 's efforts were commendable. Later when Kartik sent her away from his home too Balaji was a source of great support. Uncle also says that it is ironical good people are taken away early by  God. Sreeniasan  looks at the calender and remembers the time given to Abhirami is over and she has not called. He calls her and asks her if she remembers the deal. Time is over and he is coming to the office as the partner and if this is denied the story of the fire in the Bangalore factory of Laxman will be told to Uma. Abhirami assures him that she will  her.

MALARGAL            episode 198
Kadir and his uncle in a conversation. Kadir says   the time has come for N Gounder to come and beg him to accept him as his father. His non acceptance has been the cause of the failure of the proposal. Uncle slowly tells him that he has told Sivakami the truth. Kadir gets wild with anger at his uncle. The uncle describes the situation where Sivakami came to their house to know the cause of their enmity and would not leave the lace till she had the answer hence he told the truth. Kadir wonders why there is no reaction by Gounder or the family. May be she had not confronted him with the truth. Sivakami waits at the bus stand peole known tother ask why she is standing alone at this hour. The bus comes and Gounder gets down. Gounder is shocked to see his wife there att hat hour. Thinking it must be something about Tulasi he asks her. Sarcastically she says it is strange he remember s he has a family. Gounder asks her point blank what  has been bothering her that she keeps talking words that are like arrows shot at him. He wants to know what is bothering her. She asks who is Kanthmathi. Who is Kadir and how is he related to you?Is. Kanthimathi alive?You have heard what Gnanavel told you. He takes her to a small temple near by. He prays for a few minutes and takes an oath that what he is telling her is the truth. After his father's death he and his mother Meenakshi go and live in her native place that is where he met Kanthimathi. He was having a swim in the big well when a girl 's kudam (vessel ) fell into the well. She rquested him to get it for her. He did so. There were a few Alli flowers in the well. She wanted those flowers came up and gave it to her. He asked her if she was afraid of him. She  said she is not afraid but shy. He remembered he was not clad properly. He  gave the pot and the flowers and went to his friends and changed into a dhoti. This girl seeing him having an argument with his friends laughed aloud. The other boys getting offended surrounded and heckled her he went and stopped them but not before one of them commented on whose niece she was her aunt's character were squestionable. The girl hearing this comment rushes to her house dropping the pot  crying. Her brother comes to know of the comments and he confronts the bullies and gets hurt. Nataraj saved. He asks his aunt about the comments. She  gets wild and says yes she is such a character and it is her earnings that is feeding them. She adds that very soon Kanthimathi will become he mistress of a wealthy man. Brother says he will not let this hapen. He worries for his sister.

KOLANGAL     
Uma and her husband come to Tholkappian's house to request him to get a job for. Ramachandran Thols says. Ganga can do it. Uma explains that ganga and he dont get along well she will not do it. Thols asks him to go the office and give an application but not mention his name as he and Abhi are having some problems. He goes to Abhi with the application. She questions him finding various types of work he had done. She asks him about his family. There comes out a story with all the problems one could have. Married a dumb girl and has to look after her family too. He has a mad sister in law needing treatment. Abrothr in law who gets into all sorts of problems a younger sister in law whose education he finances  his wife is his life. He loves her very much. Abhi gauged him and tells him his family problems should not come in the way of his official work. Hard work and integrity should be there. She calls Krishnan sir and asks him to take him and introduce him to the person in charge to breif him about his duties. As soon as Krishnan sir leaves he asks her personal details about Abhi. That girl promptly tells him he has to work and not collect gossip in the office. Anu and Mano returning from the feast in the uncle's place. Anu praises the uncle for his geniality and generosity. Mano just keeps quiet. Anu starts comparing their family and the uncle's family. Mano says uncle is not what he appears to be. He had been very harsh to them and asks her not get crried away. Anu requests Mano to take her to Rajesh's house. Mano calls and tells Rajesh they can have a meal in a restaurant. Rajesh says as the brother and wife have left thay have their own place so they can come home. Bhasker and Krishnan sir meet the person from abroad to revive the proposal for his sister. That man says he is in financial difficulty so if Bhaskr can give five lakhs with a simple marriage so that h  
is son can start a business.

SELVI   
Amar asks Selvi to give the partnership document that Dilipan has. Selvi tells him She did not abduct Andavan. She is sorry he has been abducted. Dilipan did not do it. He should go and find the real person who has done this. Selvi looks Amar in the face and asks him to stop hitting women. He will suffer for ransacking Dilipan's office. For ransacking Niranjan's house and hitting Sivamani. Go  she said and he leaves folowed by his goons. The uncotrollable Amar left Selvi asks the members to be seated to start the meeting but they all left without a word. Selvi is shocked. GJ's house. Amar frantic  that father is yet not traced. GJ scolds him for coming away without a fight. Amar retorts that it is because of that the members left. That is an achievement. At  the court Dilipan will be humiliated. Police come to Ranjani's house. They ask her if she knew Bala and for how long. She tells them it was after the marriage proposalof Gj andMaya she became friendly with Bala. He was a good and kind man. What was th relationship Ranjani says a good friend though her husband  suspected. Bala did not have relationships with other women. Sathya sweats when the police officer describes the manner of death of Bala. At the court Amar and GJ seated together. Amar constantly nagging GJ about finding his father. Selvi and Dilipan's friends are seated together. Proceedings start. Andavan's disappearance and Dilipan being his partner make him a suspect. Diipan is asked if he is responsible. Dilipan says he was in communication with him about the partnership. The other side lawer argued that Dilipa should not be given bail. The very fact that he is really Priyan and not Dilipan if he is left on bail he will destroy the evidence making it difficult. Dilipan's bail application was rejected. His police custody is extended. Seeing a bruise on his forehead. Selvi asks if he was beaten. Dilipan says she is sad  about this but if he hadnot protested because they would have arrested her as abetting     coming out. Gj and Amar meet Selvi. Looking at GJ she says for one reason she is keeping quiet and he should not think it is her weakness Leave all this and lead a good life with Tamarai she says. About Andavan's abduction she tells of that was her idea she would have done away with him long time back.

PENN
Deepa continues her story. Her frine Jamuna and her brother Sunil perusade her father to agree to her going to medical college. The 5 lakh donation? asks her father. Who will give that? I will, says Sunil. His parents treated Anjali as their own daughter, and told him to help her go to medical college before they died in a car accident (how thoughtful that they expressed such wishes before dying accidentally!). Father says he will accept if Anjali can repay the loan with interest. Everyone agrees, and she goes off to college, completing three years. In the fourth year...

At the medical college, Manohar and friend Ravindran are leading a group of boys ragging a group of freshers, all girls. Anjali and Jamuna come by and intervene., taking away the girl, Nirmala, with them. The boys threaten her roommate to make sure she comes over in the evening and meets them at a place near their hostel, but also near the mortuary. As they are waiting, Akash, who is Jamuna's friend (the same Akash who is Kala's son!) joins them, asking what they are waiting for. They tell him, reluctantly. He too joins in the fun. They wait in the mortuary, covering themselves with white sheets looking like just another corpse. The girl comes there, after finding that they are not outside (imagine that, a girl actually calls out for them and comes into the mortuary looking for them). She is shocked as they suddenly arise from the sheets. Then they surround her in a menacing way. They lock the door,  and Akash begins to molest her. In the struggle, she is thrown to the ground, hits her head, and lies dead in a pool of blood from her head. The boys flee. On the way out, they see Anjali, who has come in search of the girl, presumably having heard of her meeting from her roommate. She sees them running away, and then looks in and sees Nirmala lying on the floor.

July 24

ANANDAM  24th July     
Everybody in Shanthi's village come to her uncle's house to enquire about Kartik's welfare. Uncle who is setting out to chennai to be with Shanthi assures them that By God's grace Kartik should be well. One ir two people blame Shanth's ill luck Uncle drives them all away. Rajeshwari goes to the temple to pray for Kartik's welfare. The pujari assures her. By the grace of the presiding deity of the temple he will be safe. Rajeshwari says she would offer special pujas in the temple. Shanthi gats a call from Abhirami. She asks Shanthi not to put the phone down but listen to her. She has known Kartik since his childhood. He is a kind and good person. She is sincerely praying for his safe return.  ACDorai comes to the central jail where AC Mahesh is in and asks to see him. The jailer asks Mahesh to be brought and tells Dorai that he can talk to him in the privacy of that office. Mahesh comes and asks him if he has come to persuade him to turn approver in the case against him. Mahesh says he would never do that . Dorai reminds him that then  he will soon be in Tihar jail. Mahesh sounded haughty and of offended. Indu come sand asks Shanthi how come these days she is watching. TV all day long. With tears in her eyes Shanthi says  she is waiting for good news regarding her Dad. At Kashmir the service personnel are given a chance to contact and talk to their families. Kartik gets a chance and he calls Shanthi. This is soon after Abhirami's call. Thinking Abhirami is calling again Shanthi does not pick up the phone.

MALARGAL Episode 197   
Sivakami tells Nataraja gounder that there is a call for him. Gounder takes the call. The constable whom Gounder had asked to call him in case that beggar woman is cited calls. He says that woman is in the police station. Gounder tells Sivakami that he has urgent work in chennai and leaves. He goes and sees the woman but it is not  Kanthimathi. Vidya takes leave of Shanmukam and others thinking Ramesh is is sitting in the car but the car was not there. Shanmukam's parents also return and meet Vidya. Vidya calls Ramesh's cell phone only to be told that he is heading for home and she can follow by bus. Shanmukam offers to accompany her. At Kavitha's house the son in law is holding court declaring how his presence brought out the flaws in that family. Kavitha'syounger sister pleads with her mother that the son in law made it difficult for them. She also says that Kvitha likes him her wish should be taken into consideration. Mother rejects her idea. Ramesh reaches home and goes into his room. Not seeig Vidya with him The uncle's family want to utilise this opportunity. They go to Sharada and inform her that Vidya is not back and she should not be allowed to enter the house. Ganesh comes and asks about Vidya. Ramesh has an opportunity to vent his feelings. He tells him of Vidya efforts in consoling her brother in law and how it upset him. Just then Vidya enters with Shamnmukam. She is asked not to enter by the uncle. Shanmukam goes to Ramesh and asks why he left without informing and taking Vidya. Ramesh sarcastically says his wife had forgotten she has a husband. She called him two hours later. Shanmukam explains. Vidya is very attached to him and seeing him in distress had upset her. Shanmuka leaves Ganesh consoles Vidya. Sivakami is upset by. Gounder's departure. The name Kanthimati mentioned by the policeman brings back memory of her visit to. Kadir's house. She refuses to eat Karpagam asks. Murthy to console his mother. She sets off some whereand Suderesan meets her and asks where she is going she refuses to answer. Sunderesan points out that of late her behavior towards her husband  picking fault in everything he says is something strange. The whole family looks up to them and she is acting strange. He asks her to be calm.

KOLANGAL     
As Bhasker and his mother pound at the door his sister sowly opens the door. She is scolded by brother and mother. Alamelu sees this as an oppurtunity to drive home her pint. She accuses Bhasker of not making efforts for his sister's ' marriage so the only way out for them is to die. Bhasker is told how the group of people slandered his his sister's character. Bhasker says that thy should not heed  and should not upset them. Mother asks him to ask Abhi for ten lakh rupees so that the old proposal can be revived Bhasker says Abhi helped them out but it does not mean  she can be troubled for every thing. Krishnan sir says they will find out a way. Uma's husband is in the wine shop with drinks in his hands when she was taking the children to school he twisted the fact and said that he is working as a bar tender. He insists that Ganga should get him a four figure salary job. Arti and Anu again fight in the house. Mother asks the daughter to behave herself. Anu and Mano go the uncle's house for the feast. Elaborate dishes are served and uncle kept on praising Anu for belonging to a noble family and decrying Abhi's family. Gifts are given. They leave. Uncle tells his son the reason for the feast is his long time plan. Adi's family will surely give her a share of the property so it  to  uncle's advantage to be in he good books of Anu. Sharada Chithi hears this.

SELVI          
GJ is busy inventing plans to make Amar to run from pillar to post in search of the abductors of his father. So distraught is Amar he follows GH's every move he dins into his head once the documents are found the abductor will give up. Dilipan's office is raided nothing is found. The manager calls Selvi and reports the havoc amar is sent to. Niranjan's house as  Dilipan is close to Niranjan. Sivamani is harassed everything is broken. Selvi's child is in the crib. Soon Niranjan comes. He is ready to go and kill them. Sivamani tries control him saying there is much more at stake. She calls Selvi who is in a meeting. She talks to Niranjan to be there and not rush into a fight. At the meeting Selvi for the first time senses tension. Dilipan's arrest has made the partners and clients apprehensive. Selvi calms them down saying   Business will not be affected as Dilipan case is a personal problem which will be resolved. They can ask her if they have any doubts. Just then Amar and his goons enter asking who abducted his father by her sheer look she makes them all sit quiet. She faces Amar.

PENN
Drs. Sivaraman and Vaikuntam (Manohar's father) enter Ranganayaki's hospital room. Where is Deepa, asks Sivaraman, looking around. Sure enough, she is nowhere (wild guess - hiding in the bathroom).  Dr. Sivaraman asks, But we didn't see her leave. Ranga answers that Kailash must have dropped off and not seen Deepa leave. They seem to accept the answer. Dr. Vaikuntan is particularly inquisitive. He asks who taught her daughter Swati that song she sang at the function. Ranganayaki is a little annoyed, and says, "may I ask why you and your son want to know?" He says that is of interest to me and my son. She replies it was a disabled person working in Kadambam. Can we meet her, asks Vaikuntam. No, she is not keen to meet anyone, owing to her disability, replies Ranga. Vaikuntam leaves the room in a huff. Sivaraman apologizes for him, and then follows him out.
Ranga calls out for Deepa to come out. She does. Now she says, tell me the real truth. Deepa demurs. But Ranga insists, saying she might even die during surgery, and would at least like to do so knowing she fully understands her friend. Deepa says, I don't want to upset you and cause further damage to your health, give you a heart attack, etc. Here Ranga quotes an excellent piece from the Mahabharata, where, after killing Karna, Arjuna cries that he has killed his brother. Krishna explains that Karna was killed by a variety of causes, and he was only a small piece of the puzzle. Similarly, my father, my children, Uma, Mohini, everybody has already contributed to my death, and your telling your story will not be the cause. As Deepa gets ready, Kailash enters with the coffee. Ranga asks him politely to wait outside, but Deepa says he should stay. Only the two of you are closest to me, and I might as well tell you both my story. She begins...

I grew up in a small town (Tiruthani?) where my father was the station master. He was a person of great authority, though he had only a small job. He brought us up in strict discipline. I had one younger sister, vivacious and mischievous, called Revathi. The day she came of age was celebrated by our family, and that was the last day my mother smiled. Then she recalls how she (Deepa) had applied and got admission to medical college in Tanjavur. Her father opposed it, saying he was getting set to get her married to someone in a nearby town. Deepa tries to persuade her mother to persuade her father. Next, her friend and her brother arrive to talk sense to her father.

Penn is poorly produced because the episodes end abruptly (they show far less than the usual episode, worried more about ads). This episode literally ends with Deepa recalling my friend and her brother arrived..

Toooodruuuuum.

SUN TV cedes Kashmir to Pakistan

I was watching Selvi yesterday (July 21), and was struck by a scene showing a police station with the Indian map with a truncated Kashmir, without the Pakistan-occupied sections. Here, see for yourself.

This is Amar and GJ going to the police station to report Andavan and Karthan are missing. Let us hope they have not been abducted by Hezbollah and taken to Azad Kashmir. The TN cops had a difficult enough time finding Veerappan within the state. To seek someone in an area that's not even part of the country (according to SUN TV) will be practically impossible. What a gaffe. SUN's grasp of history is always suspect, but doesn't anyone know geography either?

...And, poor Assam and the rest of the NE States, almost falling off.

July 21

ANANDAM 21st J uly
RK and Rajeshwari are shattered by the news about Balaji. Their thoughts about the safety of Kartik takes them to Shanthi's house. She had forbidden her daughter to see television as school work suffers. Their worried faces and later the news made her anxious. RK and Shanthi go to the military head quarters to find out about Kartik only to be told that there is no other news. Shyam and Uma rush to Shanthi and console her that Kartik must be safe. She remembers Kartik 's love for her and her child. She says she has to be brave at this time. The family had assembled at RK's place to hear the news. RK and Shanthi have after their enquiry at the head quarters. Abhirami serves Uma and Shyam food. When asked to join them she does not comply they find out that she is observing a fast on Pournami days for Uma's welfare and for a gift of a child for her. She tells Shyam and Uma that she knows that being childless is the worst suffering for a woman hence this vow.
MALARGAL
The questioning of Kadir by the son in law becomes too much. Uncle loses his calm and asks him why does he not take the answer given. A fight starts. Kadir controls his uncle but Kavita's mother is upset by the whole affair and they leave in a huff. Gounder and Murrthy are returning home. A car stops and the son in law gets down and greets Gounder. He reminds Gounder that they had met at a wedding where(gounder) skilfully prevented a dowry row. Asked how he is here He narrates the story of the day hearing. Kadir's name. Murthy is agitated. Gounder silences him. The son in law again refers to Kadir's refusal to say who is father was. Gounder excuses himself and comes home. Kadir asks his uncle why he started fighting. Uncle wants to go bring out Gounder to own his responsibility or kill him. Kadir asks the uncle he could have killed him long ago that is not his wish. He goes up to his room there is a call from Kavita. He sends her a message. Good bye. Vidya and Ramesh come to Shanukam's house. Seeing Shanmukam crying consoles him and tells him. Akka will come back. The aunt tells Vidya he had not eaten for two days. Vidya asks food to be brought and feed s him herself. Ramesh sitting and watching is irritated and angry by Vidya's action. He gets up and leaves in his car. Murthy comes home and narrates to his mother the happenings in Kadir's house. Gounder comments that seeking pleasure in other people's misfortune is not good. Just then the phone rings. Sivakami picks up the phone. The constable asks for Gounder. He gives the news that a woman Kanthimathi a bit deranged is arrested and Gounder should come and see. Sivakami remembers the name Kanthimathi.

KOLANGAL
Uma;s husband passing by is asked by an old cart puller th help him load the rice bags . Acting on a strategy he loads the bags. Uma and Ganga passing by notice this. Uma is moved to see her husband toiling hard. Ganga on the other hand is happy that for once he is doing some work. Uma asks him why he is doing this he says hard work is what Ganga advised him ask her to get a job for him in her office after they leave he ditches the old man and walks away. Tholkapian comes to work Abhi asks him what is all this fight about Thols says Bhasker said unmentionable words and the workers around went and attacked him. Finding these workers are not their staff she questions how are they in their site. Thols they are the people who had helped during the bomb scare and other times so they are working. Abhi refuses to take that argument and says they should not be working here. She tells Thols that he is a puzzle to her these days. Alamelu arranges a boy meeting girl affair for Rajesh's friends's sister. The boy does not like the girl but likes Bhasker's sister. Alamelu gets angry at him and showers abuses. Bhasker's sister runs away from the spot. She goes home and tries to hang herself. Alamelu and later Bhasker try to force open the door but she hangs herself.

SELVI
Amar runs to the beach and finds the cer. In the beach he finds his father's specs and cell phone. He rushes with the phone to Tamarai's house crying uncontrollably. GG takes him to the police station. Taking down all the details. The last message in the cell phone is from Diipan saying he will end the partnership the police party come to the spot and take evidence. The police officer asks are there any enemies. Dilipan the partner is whom they suspect 'The officer says one cannot be arrested on a sms message alone. Selvi and Dilipan are in conversation. Dilipan says Andavan is angry with him. Just then police enter and ask for Dilipan. When asked on what count he is being arrested. The officer says he has to come to the station for questioning. Andavan has been kidnapped.

PENN
An inordinate amount of time spent showing Poongadi in a soliloquy at a temple. In the end, she pretends that Kailash is prsent (because he is there in her heart, don't you know) and ties a taali on herself.
At the hospital, Kailash is sitting outside, dropped off to sleep after sitting up all night. Deepa emerges to hand him a flask to get coffee from the hotel. After some initial coolness on his part, she explains that she should really fall in love with him, but persona circumstances prevent her from doing so. Finally she says lovingly, lightly touching his arm, "give me time". He is walking on air.
Mohini gets a call on her cell phone. The caller is the guy who threw acid at her. She addresses her as "Hi Baby", the way her father does. He says he missed the previous time, but in ten days he will try once more. She asks him who paid him to do this, and goes through a list of suspects. He rejects each one and the himself adds, "You've said everyone's name but left out your father...". She is devastated at the idea that her father would be behind this. At that point Muthukumar walks in. She says it is the acid guy. He grabs the phone, but the fellow has disconnected. She tells Muthukumar what the guy said, and Muthukumar denies it, but unconvincingly. Mohini suspects him now.

ANANDAM         20th July   
Shyam asks his sister why she is doing this now. He accuses her of going back to her old ways. Abhirami tells him she admires the way he has cleared so many problems but this is not the time to take action against Sreenivasan. As it is he has been humiliated in front of everyone. That itself is punishment. He being their Sambandi they should be careful. Their sister Rama's life should in no way suffer. Abhirami tells him the suffering of a woman without a husband is known to her. Uma also feels that Abhirami is right. Sreenivasan goes to a place and orders drinks. His brand of costly drinks are not available at that place. Frustrated he wants to leave. Promoter Vishnu arrives with costlier drinks and joins him. Sreenivasan 's anger is fanned by him as the drink session extends. Sreenivasan pours out all the grieances against Abhirami. Promoter adds to that by moaningabout his transaction with. Abhirami which has earned him a black mark in his business. They both vow to teach her a lesson. ACDorai comes to a garrage for some minor repairs to his car. Seated in a chair he is observing the happenings around. A water tanker comes and a man gets down from under the vehicle. Dorai had found out about this tanker. He reports to his cheif that Jeeva's exit from the jail is ii this way. Kartik brings full particulars about the cell phone , the number of calls to his house and other details. Rajeshwari is doing Arathi in her home shrine. She tells RK that she is   feeling nervous. RK asks her to be calm. The TV news is on Reports of terrorist attack in Kashmir and the loss of military personnel is announced. The name of Balaji is mentioned as  one among the casuality.They both are terribly upset.

MALARGAL        
Tulasi tells her story to the old couple and wants to stay away from people till her husband gets married. The old man says there is a family in Andhra who need a servant. She can work there for six months and come back. She wants to start immediately. Tulasi goes out to wash her face. The old man tells his blind wife that if he sells her to the Andhra party he can make a tidy sum. Wife tells him that he should not do that dirty trick with this girl. Tulasi sees a few people putting up a poster on the wall. She recognises Shanmukam's friend in the group. He tells the people this girl's husband is mad with grief. He asks them if they see this woman to call and inform. She hides herself. As they move she  goes to he wall and tears the poster. Kadir' and his uncle welcome the guests. Kadir's fiancee didnot come. Her married sister brother in law and younger sister accompanied the mother. After introduction they prefer to have tender coconut water. Sambasivam is dispatched to bring it. Kadir shows the house to Kavita's sister. He says he is disappointed. Kavita did not come. She asks him to call and talk to her talking to Kavita he is not conscious of the time. Uncle comes up and drags Kadir  to the guests. The brother in law asks questions non stop and Kadir answers politely. Kadir is asked why there is no photo of the father. The uncle explains for various reasons there is no contact between them. He asks the name of the person. Kadir tell him as that man had done grievous harm to his late mother he refuses to talk about him or utter his name. The son in law seemed to revel at their discomfiture. The others are worried where all this will lead to.

KOLANGAL               
Rajesh comes to invite Mano and Anu to come for a feast in his house. Asks Arti to come and cook so that he can himself feed the newly weds. Arti tells him is no uncertain terms that he has no connection with her and her family and just because he helped in their marriage he does not have the right to come and trouble them. She sends him out. Anu says they would go. Ganga finds Uma's husband again coming for money. She ridicules him. He asks her to get him a job. Abhi complains to the supervisor that work is not progressing t o her satisfaction. Krishnan sir reminds her they have a meeting with the auditor. She  says if Bhasker has to come with them. Krishnan narrates the fight between. Thols and Bhasker and how Bhasker was wounded. He also says Bhasker is not coming to work for them. He tries to brain wash her about Thokappian being the tro
uble maker. Abhi goes to Bhasker's house to see him. Alamelu does her drama about her son being beaten by Tholkappian. Bhasker tells her he felt Tholkappian should have gratitude to. Abhi. He adds he was drunk that day. She asks Bhasker to come to work and leaves. She stands in front of her father in law's picture before leaving. Sharada chithi comes to invite Mano and Anu for a feast in their house. Eveyone is surprised that the uncle himself suggested the feast. She personally invites Mano and Anu. Once inside their room Anu refuses to go for that feast. Why Rajesh's invitation is turned down Now she will refuse to go to. Sharda chithi's house. Arti hearing this reminds Mano and Anu what Sharda chithi has done for their family all through.

SELVI    
Seth and his men stay quiet for a minute and Seth says he has any number of these documents which he can produce. One weektime is given before they should vacate the house. GJ questions Tamarai for being such a fool to sign a blank paper. Tamarai even now says Andavan was terribly worried when he ws out in jail. As he did not have enough cash he had to do this. Gj says how 25 lakhs became 75 lakhs. Andavan is the gretest fraud. Tamarai tells him it was on his advise she took him back. GJ declares that anyone causing trouble to Tamarai will not be spared. Selvi offering prayers finds Sivamani falling at her feet for blessings. She thanks Selvi and says she is her mother for her. She is happy with Niranjan. Selvi blesses her to have twins. Sivamani standing in the queufor rations is called by her mother in law from her car. Decked with ornaments she ridicules Sivamani for being in a state to stand in the queue for rations. She says Tamarai will ruin Selvi's business and they will all be on the streets. Sivamani gives a proper reply. Gj is waiting for someone. Andavan gets down from his car and advances towards GJ GJ gets up resectfully and asks if he found it difficult to locate the place. He asked him to come alone because he is shy to own up all his mistakes in front of others. He starts talking in a very amiable way seeking pardon for being harsh to him sometimes. He  bent down as though he was going to fall at his feet. The tone changes and he says does he think he is falling at his feet. No. He picks up his chappals and says give back the original documents tries to hit. Andavan. Andavan asks what sort of joke it is. GJ says he will see for himself. Andavan on a stroll in the beach. Kathan is standing near the car. Four sturdy men walk up to Andavan and from the back make him fall down and they attack him. Kathan off guard fails to notice it. Later he finds his master in trouble. Amar gets a call from london asking for Andavan. His son is getting married in London and he wants to inform Andavan. Amar calls for his father. Malar says he has gone for a walk. He tries his mobile no reply. He tries Kathan's number no reply. Malar is scared. He asks her to be calm but he himself is worried as it was eleven in the morning. Where is his father?

PENN
Kala visits Ranga in the hospital. Ranga asks her if she has brought the item she requested. Kala pulls out a photo of Akash and hands it to her. Ranga looks at it longingly and asks if she can keep it. Kala says it would arouse all kinds of suspicion if, instead of keeping a photo of Bharani, Swati or Karthik, she kept a photo of Akash. Kala takes it back and puts it securely in her purse.
Manohar's dad tries to convince him that Anjali is not a ghost. Why would a ghost suddenly stop appearing as soon as he entered the house? Obviously, Sivadhanu must be complicit, but we will not ask him directly, but let him blurt out the answer. Manohar says, if Anjali is not dead, how come Swati sang the same song at her college function. Manohar's dad expresses an interest in meeting Swati. Dr. Sivaraman says her mother is getting set for bypass surgery, and this would not be a good time to trouble her. When the opportunity arises, I will have you meet her, he says.
Mohini approaches Senthil with a bottle of acid, to test if he was behind it. He ridicules her for thinking so. She says she wants to get back together with him. He says that is impossible. Later his mother pleads with him. He still says no. Privately his father tells his mother that he will approach Mohini.

July 19

ANANDAM           19th july
Jeeva's wife gets a call from him asking her to be careful when Dorai comes to question as he is a very sharp man. AC Dorai comes and questions if Jeeva had come home last week. She says how can he come he is in jail and the authorities don't even allow her to see him. Dorai leaves. She calls Jeeva to inform him and Dorai comes back and notices this. He takes the phone and notes the number. He asks assistant Kartik to go to the cell phone office to find out whose phone it is and other details. Sreenivasan gets calls from his friends and associates expressing their sorrow at hearing he has been dismissed. He gives them a sharp reply that he quit because of interference. Sreenivasan's wife comes to the house he goes out and asks her to come in. She gives vent to her feelings. She says due to the bad company he kept he has  got into a situation like this. He who has his own business and wealth should not get mixed up with bad people. She makes him aware of his skill and intelligence and asks him as she cares for him asks him to reform Sreenivasan calls Abhirami to meet him. He tells her that she let him down very badly. That youngster is making allegations against him and she kept silent. He reminds her that when everybody deserted her he was the one person who stood by her. She asks what should she done now. He says her happiness lies 365 miles away in Bangalore. Laxman's factories are there. There should be a fire. She asks him it was his advice to take back. Shyam and Uma so that Uma's wealth will be an asset. Sreenivasan says Shyam should made to take back the censure against him. Shyam and the manager are working as Uma brings them coffee. Abhirami enters the room and says  stop all this. Sreenivasan should not be censured. Shyam is taken aback he asks what does she mean by this statement.

MALARGAL    episode 194
At Shanmukam's house the whole family is assembled. Saraswathi wants to console her son. He doesn't even look at her. His friends show the posters printed with Tulasi's photo saying she is missing and a telephone no giv en. Once the posters are seen every where. Tulasi will be found they say. Uncle says there is an astrologer who can predict  the  location she may be found   mother and father leave to see the astrologer. He demands 100 rupees. He closes his eyes and concentrates and says she is safe she is 40 km south east direction. They have to go and bring her the mother wants a talisman. Thayathu for her son who is  estranged with her she wants him to get married again. The astrologer gets wild and asks them  to leave. Ganesh asks his mother's permission to go on an excursion for three days. Sharada says in her anxiety she fears to send him anywhere. Ramesh and Vidya come. Ramesh asks r permission to send Vidya with Ganesh as she wants to go and see her people. Sharda tells him. He should go and not Ganesh. Aunt Sundari buts in and gives the  about Tulasi with great relish commenting that family have not brought up their daughters well. Ramesh asks his aunt  to refrain from interfering  in their family affairs. Ganesh offers to be in the shop and Vidya and Ramesh leave for Nachiarpuram. The phone rings asking for Shanmukam one man from Triplikane says Tulasi is in that area. Shanmukam requests himto inform the police and he would be there. He gets angry on being told to inform the police. Another caller says she is in Bangalore and a third says she is in Vellore near the hospital. Shanmukam is confused. Tulasi has a nightmare and wakes up and finds herself in a hut. She comes out and sees an old man. He informs her that as he ws walking by the railway line he saw her falter and fall. He helped her get up and made her sit in a place soon the tough guys came running asking if he had seen a woman running away. Observing the situation he directed them in the wrong direction. He brought her home and she had slept all these hours his blind wife comes near. Tulasi and says that she is safe with them but she should tell them her real story.

KOLANGAL    
Thols is in a very sad mood. Shanthi asks him the reason. He tells Abhi and her mother started the  proposal of his mariage with Anandi. He refused saying he is not for it. Shanthi says he is a changed man his interests are different. Sharada chithi returns from Abhis house. At Thiruvengadam's house he starts his lecture about Abhi and her high handed ways. Thols an orphan and they think they can do anything his grouseis that Thols was responsibe for his son marrying that girl a business man comes and gives a proposal for doing business as before. Thiru vengadam tells him the risk in that business unnerves him. He is a changed man he wants no such business. The son comes and asks his father if he has really change. Father says now that they know the intricasies of that business why take a partner. Uma  says she wants to talk with Ganga about something important. She tells Ganga she should consider marrying. Tholkappian A gem of a man who loves her and who knows her fiery nature and who understands her. She should not miss this chance. Ganga tells her she knows all that and she loves him too. Tholkappian and Abhi's friendship is somethin great nothing can break that. Ganga says she is a very possessive person and hence wants  him  for herself. The condition is if he breaks with Abhi it is possible. Giri brings a party to Aditya. The plot where a complex can be built. He  was going to Abhi constructions when Giri intercepted and brought him here. Aditya gives him one lakh as advance but asks him to give the contract to Abhi constructions. That man gives back thea dvance and leaves. Rekha and Giri are puzzled. Aditya says Abhi will be made to suffer through this contract. Shanthi goes to the landlady to pay the rent. Alamelu in Rajesh's auto finding Shanthi gets down starts abusing Tholkappian and Shanthi about their relationship. Thols creating trouble in the office for her son. Shanthi trying to answer is given no chance. She leaves but this has acreated a suspicion  in the mind of the landlady about Shanthi and Thols.

SELVI   
Selvi passing by in a car sees Madhu and her friend in a dispute with the auto driver. Selvi gets down pays the auto drivr and offers a lift only to be told she is not her sister. GJ has joined the oil business. Kathan says Tamarai should check him. Andavan  thinks that it is Tamarai who is causing this problem. GJ asking for share certificates and agreement signed. Andavan calls the Seth the busines advisor  who promises to create problems to Tamarai. He is given the blank paper signed by Tamarai. Ac police comes to the house and informs they have a wooden pole with blood stains at the spot. The officer asks if Bala had friendship with women. Father says he does not have any such. He was friendly with one person and the address is given. Selvi asks Sivamani why they have not had a child. She seems fond of children. Sivamani says it is not in her lot to have children. Selvi asks if there is a medical problem. Sivamani tsays hey both are fine. When Selvi insiststo come outwith the truth the story comes out. Selvi's problems should be settled before their  wish for a child. She feels sad. She talks with Niranjan. His love for her should not be in the way of Sivamani's wishes and life. She tells Niranjan she has faced innumerable problems. Niranjan did not solve any of them. How come her welfare is denying his wife her rights. Selvi tells in all this turmoil in her life her child is the beacon of light. Niranjan and Sivamani are happy. Tamarai and children are at home. Four or five goondas along with the Seth enter and make themselves comfortably seated in the drawing room. Tamarai asks them who they were. She is told she will have to vacate the house as it belongs to them. GJ comes down and asks what this is all about. He is shown the stamped document that 75 lakhs taken has not been paid hence according to the document the house is theirs. GJ asks Tamarai how much she borrowed. She says 25 lakhs to bring Gj out of the jail. GJfinds out the blank paper signature is the cause. He changes his approach goes near the Seth and apologises for his harsh behavior. Tamarai tells him not to give in like that. Just then GJ stoops and picks up the document which had fallen on the ground and triumphantly tears it to pieces  and turns round to the Seth since when he had started this business.

PENN
Vijay points out to Mohini that she has antagonized so many people that it is hard to pinpoint who would want to do harm to her. He says to his mother that the best thing for her would be to mend fences, by going back to Kadambam Food Products. Uma goes to Kadambam, but seeing Kala admiring her son Akash's photo, she gets turned off, begins saying nasty things and threatening Kala and the company once more.
At Manohar's place, his father (the psychiatrist) puts him under hypnosis, and Manohar says he and two of his college mates killed Anjali themselves. She tried to interfere
when they were ragging another girl, and they got into a fight and killed her. Dr. Sivaraman is there to administer some sedative, but he does not hear Manohar say this. The father
is quite shocked, and later tells Sivaraman Manohar needs counselling.

July 18

ANANDAM          18th. July    
Shyam tells the members that all this has happened due to the carelessness of one individual. Abhirami asks him who that is. He looks at Sreenivasan and says it is Sreenivasan. Abhirami says then he should take the responsibility to pa the losses suffered by the company. Sreenivasan leaves the meeting in  anger. Shyam goes to RK's house and reports all that happened at the meeting. Shanthi congratultes him. Rk tells Shyam that he should act with caution with regard to Sreenivasan. He is a clever man and no room should be given for him to harass Shyam. RK asks Shyam  not to worry as he is there to guide him. Rajeshwari starts the old story of  Abhirami's misdeeds. He asks her to stop bringing the old stories again and again. Dorai has a conference with his staff to find the outsider helping Jeeva. He goes to the locality to find his house news spreads that encounter Dorai is around. The tough guys want to delay him. He plays the game of Kabaddi and defeats all of them earning their respect he is shown the house. Sreenivasan's wife is unhappy about the insult he has suffered at the hands of Shyam. Gautam on the other hand is angry. Shyam has dealt very leniently with his father. Mother and son get into a heated discussion.

MALARGAL
Vidya is crying thinking about Tulasi. Aunt Sundari overhearing the phone conversations suspects trouble in Tulasi's family. She wants to capitalise on that and rings up Saraswathi. Gets the update about the happenings. Bhasker comes home from work in a sad mood. He tells his wife of the happenings with regard to Tulasi and he wants go and see his people. As the inspector is coming the next day he cannot abstain from work. Mallika consoles him that there are Moorthy Suderesan Mama and others with his parents. He has to hold on to this good job. She will go instead and be of help. He asks her not to mention this news to her mother who is ever ready to pounce upon his family. Kadir's fiancee wants to accompany her mother to Nachiarpuram. Mother tells her that custom forbids her to go to their house before marriage. She and her sister plan a different strategy. She calls Kadir and has a very romantic conversation and he asks her if she is coming. She says she is coming. Kadir who has all along been playing the tough guy is feeing happy at this interlude in his life he expresses it to Kavita. Vidya is found weeping when Ramesh comes home with jasmine flower and sweets for her he asks the reason. She gives the news. She praises Shanmukam for his helpful and understanding nature and sad that he is being subjected to this. Ramesh points out that instead of crying for her sister about her where abouts she is more worried about the brother in law. He is angry with her for spoiling his mood. He refuses to allow her visit them.

KOLANGAL   
Uma asks Ganga to accompany her to the temple. Ganga criticizes her for having faith in a rogue of a husband and the invisible god who seems to do nothing good for her. At the temple the VIP who tried to behave badly with Uma is being given the special respect by honoured with a sacred dhothi. Ganga asks the pujari that she too should honouredbe thus as before God every body is equal. In the melee the VIP leaves without taking the gifts. Shanthi who happens to visit the temple hears the story from Uma. Uma tells Shanthi about Ganga's short temper and gives the example of how she turned down Tholkappian's marriage proposal. Uma praises Thols for his good nature. Shanthi 's mind becomes restless. As Thols is working at the site Bhasker and Rajesh come fully drunk and start an argument with him. Bhasker  accuses Thols for refusing to get maried to Anandi. Thols tells him it is of no concern to Bhasker. Bhasker accuses  it is because he loves Abhi. He accuses him of having Shanthhi in the house Thols takes hold of Bhasker and asks him to leave as he is fully drunk. Thols's workers come and control Bhasker. He falls down and has a cut in his forehead. Rajesh's friend takes them both and attends to the cut in Bhasker's forehead. He is brought home. A lamelu gets one more chance to attack everyone for her son's fate She decries him for not thinking about his sister's marriage.

SELVI         
The children tell the parents that they have taken the wrong toys. They go in and go straight to Selvi and tell her she is a good person. They had to say harsh words because of fear of their mother. Andavan is having a talk with his lawyer how to ease out Dilipan from the partnership lawyer asks for all the documents so that he can chalk out a strategy. Dilipan enters. Andavan a worried man these days is cold towards him. Kathan tells Dilipan that after his revelation about his identity. Tamarai wants him out of the partnership. Dilipan says that he started the business and good people like them should not have entered his business. They can leave any money they had spent will be given back. Andavan gets really angry and tells him he will not survive if Andavan wills it. Dilipan says a man who has survived an acid attack can survive this too. Police dogs are brought to the spot. A big wooden pole with blood stains is taken for investigation. The dogs rush smelling all along. Andavan comes to Tamarai's house meets the father of Gj who is still under the impression that Puja is bad. Tamarai GJ come. Andavan reports Dilipan wants us to leave the business. GJ comes up questioning Tamarai about the two crores she had given for it. Where are the share certificates forr that if not where is the agreement. Tamarai knows nothing about it. She says she doesnot remember he turns to. Andavan and says as  business man he should knowFor once Andavan is in a different situation. At the oil business office GJ and Govindan are having the time of their life. Glad to be restored his position he is in a benevelent mood. He asks the manager to come in and asks all the files  concerning the financial position should be brought He also announces that hence forward Govindan is manager and he should work under him. Amar comes and fumes at this new set up. Selvi seated with her child in her arms. Dilipan comes with his friend He seems to be in a sad mood. He tells Selvi that Andavan is asking for all the documents and he wants Dilipan to leave. She asks him how come he is so defensive They should consult a good lawyer and they are sure to find a solution to their problem.

PENN
Vijay is approached by Muthukumar in Uma's presence about his love for Swati. He refuses to fall into the trap, and says that even if he married Swati, not one paisa of Ranganayaki would come into this house. Muthukumar is disappointed. Mohini sets off for shopping. A guy in a helmet, riding a motorbike, follows her. At Spencer Plaza, as she is coming down the stairs, he throws acid at her, and hits a pillar instead. She is shaken. It is acid, as predicted by the letter. She and Muthukumar go to the police. Muthukumar tries to browbeat the inspector (who has already been bribed by Solai, the same guy who arrested Senthil and his mom). Muthukumar orders him to arrest Chtitra. The inspector laughs off Muthukumar's threats and says to come to him if he has any evidence. Muthukumar threatens to go to the press. THe inspector cannily says in that case, what Mohini did to Chitra would also come out. Muthukumar and Mohini leave quietly. Later Mohini confronts Solai, saying he must have written the letter arranged to throw acid. Solai denies it, but not too convincingly. Still, he seems to wonder who did it.

July 17

ANANDAM 17th july
Abhirami is curt and rude to Sreenivasan. He tells her he cannot fathom her. He tells her hence forward he will not interfere in anything. AC Dorai reports to the commissioner about his meeting with Mahesh. Jeeva is living like a lord inside the jail. The boss asks how does the Jailor benefit by allowing this. Dorai says there is somebody from outside helping him. They decide to nab that person. Dorai is reminded to keep an eye on Kanduvaddi. Kandu vaddi calls Abhirami to meet him. She is impatient and wants to end the meeting. Kanduvaddi tells her Dorai is a terrific officer and he finds out the culprit in no time. The only snag in their operation in killing Govindan is the revolver left behind. He wanted her to be careful. Abhirami decides to distance herself from kandu vaddi. Uma takes out the envolope given by her father wondering when she may have to open it. Shyam did not come home as he had a lot of work so. Uma was sending the breakfast to the office. The manager calls Abhirami and informs of the emergency board meeting called by Shyam. Sreenivasan also gets the message. When he starts asking for more details the manager cur short the conversation. Sreenivasan is upset by this. He complains to Abhirami only to be told that she too got the information through the manager. Other board membrs are also puzzled. Shyam starts the meeting requesting the members to go through the file n front of them. He tells them only the person he asks should seak to him. One member says their products were rejected abroad and hence the loss. Shyam tells them that the three export orders had been made and bank loans taken in three different banks. One loan has been used in business and the other two have gone into personal accounts. There is silence all around.

MALARGAL episode 192
Sunderesan shivering with anxiety dreading to open his eyes opens his eyes as the cloth is removed sees a different person not Tulsi. The relief swells in his heart he shouts to Shanmukam and runs to him shouting it is hot Tulasi. It doesn't sink into Shanmukam weeping uncontrollably. Sunderesan shakes him and tells him it is not Tulasi's body. Gounder and Sivakami come running. There is immense releif in everybodys face. An auto brings Shanmukam's parents and uncle. Weeping and crying they are given the good news. Sivakami starts abusing Saraswathi for torturing her daughter to desperation and it becomes difficult to seperate the fighting women. Gounder forcibly drags his wife away. Shanmukam is taken away by his friend. The parents and uncle return home. Now Saraswati's anger shifts to Sivakami and she vows to teach her a lesson. Shanmukam's father intervenes and says it was her goading that was the cause of all the trouble her anger turns against him and she she accuses him for his feelings towards his daughter in law. That made that timid man lose his temper and he kicks her with his legs. The brother in law takes hold of him and tells him he had put up with her tantrums for so many years he should continue to do now also Murthy comes home and finds out about Tulasi episode just then the Gounder party come and give the news that it is not Tulasi's body. Vidya rings and Sivakami picks up and gives the whole news crying. Gounder takes the phone and says they will find out Tulasi and enquires about her welfare. She says everybody is good to her. Ganesh goes to the shop and relieves Ramesh to go home as Anni is all alone.

KOLANGAL
Alamelu tells Bhasker that if the Anandi Tholkappiyan marriage takes place their position will go from bad to worseso he should go and do something about it. She asks him to go and create trouble. He leaves with Rajesh. Abhi comes home with bags containing flowers and fruits for some puja. Aunt Sharada arrives asking why she was called. Mother is also surprised to see all this. Manohar is asked not to go out. Abhi tells them she had called the family to decide about Anandi-Thols marriage. Arti asks her that Anandi is not there they should wait till she comes back. The pandit comes Bahsker comes in and seeing a family meet wants to go back. Abhi asks him what brought him there. He wants a cheque signed. She signs the cheque. She and her mother asks him to stay. Arti is asked to bring coffee for him. Thols arrives enquiring what is the reason to call him. Bhasker mentions Rajesh is waiting outside. He is also called in. Abhi tells them that she called everyone to finalise Anandi Thols marriage. Thols says Anandi should be there. Thols is taken aback. He tells Abhi that he had given a lot of thought and come to the conclusion that it not possible for him to marry Anandi. Mother comes out forcefully that it was decided and Anandi is such a good natured girl and all that Thols says he has nothing against Anandi but he is not for the idea of marrying. Abhi tells him what had happened in the office is bothering him. Thols says he had forgotten it. Bhasker comes out with the idea that after all that. Abhi had done for him he should heed her words. Thols curtly asks Bhasker to stay out of this. Bhasker and Rajesh leave. Thols also leaves Abhi stands there her face turned red with having failed in her attempt to pull off this.

SELVI
After the verdict Maya's father is weeping bitterly in the car. His son dead and the daughter in jail he has lost everything in life. What is there for him to live for ' Andavan says they will appeal to the higher court. Amar is angry with Dilipan forgiving that evidence. At the gate of their house an envelope is stuck in the gate. Amar opens reads and looks shocked so also Andavan and the father. The note contains the news that their son did not meet with an accident but was murdered the proof is there withe person who wrote the note. They go to the police station. The officer tells them when he suggested postmortem they wanted no postmortem and took the body. As Bala was buried the body can be exhumed and post mortem done. It is done. Sivamani is taking care of Selvi's baby. The neighbours ask her why she does not have a baby yet. Sivamani said they have planned to have later. That lady cautions her if she delays she may not conceive. Shivani's mind starts thinking on those lines. She expresses her wish to Niranjan he tells her that his sister's life is in shambles and their having a child can wait. She says she sympathises with Selvi but she should have her life also. He gets angry with her and lifts his hand to hit her and Selvi arrives. She scolds Niranjan for trying to hit his wife. She asks what will happen to him if she hits him back. Niranjan says sorry Selviasks him to go and say sorry to Sivamani. Selvi in the shopping mall with her baby Seeing Tamarai's children she comes and greets them and they see the baby and they say Hi Selvimma andTamarai GJ and the kids go shopping to select a present for Malar's children s. Tamarai seeing Selvi and her baby near her children stares at them. The children who had greeted her now turn round and say they don't want to talk to her as she was the reason for their parents' separation. Selvi stands there stunned.

PENN
Mohini shows the anonymous letter to Muthukumar, who is hanging about her office. They decide it cannot be Senthil, nor can it be Bharani. They think it might be Chitra. Mohini calls her into her office and confronts her. Chitra says she has no need to do this, because she plans to become MD within five months. She walks out, leaving Mohini stunned. At Ranganayaki's home, the children all have their own agenda, and tell their grandfather what all they want since their mother is going into surgery shortly (bypass). The grandfather has a even grander plan: he is going to get a signature from Ranganayaki on a blank piece of paper. Kasi watches everything with disgust. Only Bharani says no one should talk about getting papwerwork in order, etc., because his mother's health is most important. Kasi wonders whence this concern. He does not know that Bharani has given the house paper to Solai, and hence his concern that no hunt for papers be commenced. At Uma's home, Mohini wants to make sure that Chitra's threat does not come true. Ranganayaki is going into surgery, and this may be a time for Chitra to gun for the MD seat. Tells her father to get Vijay married to Swati quickly. She can take care of keeping Bharani and Karthik away, so that the money will all come to her home in case Ranganayaki doesn't survive the surgery. Muthukumar smacks his lips. At the office, the whole staff is sitting on the floor and fasting and praying for Ranganayaki's health. Mohini walks past them with insulting comments, raising a hot retort from Kasi Anna.

July 14

ANANDAM        14th july       
Uma conveys the news that Shyam is considering her proposal. She is happy and thanks Uma. Shyam and Uma seek RK's advice about joining Abhirami's business. Shanthi arriving says he should take it and rajeshari supports it. AC dorai gets a court order to bring out ACMahesh. Mahesh gives hm the news that Jeeva has alot of influence and he is comfortable inside the jail. Shyam agrees to take responsibility on a few conditions. No interference and he needs power and not power of attorney. Abhrami goes to Sreenivasn's house the welcome is cold. She asks why He accuses her of bringing her brothr above him. She says he should not bring personal relationships into business.

MALARGAL         episode 191
Phone rings and Sunderesan picks it up. Shanmukam's friend calls and asks for Shanmukam and says there is bad news. A body of a woman is found on the railway track near Kancheepuram so Shanmukam and others should come and identify. Sunderesan breaks down. Composing himself goes to Gownder and calls him aside. Shanmukam is asked to rest with difficulty the new sis broken. Gounder collapses and cries. Sunderesan tells him Shanmukam should be coaxed to accompany. Hearing the crying Shanmukam comes and with great difficulty is told that there is a body to be identified. All of a sudden clinging to the hope it will not be Tulasi. Gounder Sunderesan Shanmukam and Sivakami reach the spot. Shanmukam's father and uncle are given he same enews and they are asked to wait till Gounder family reach first. Keeping this news from the ladies they decide togo a little later. Seeing the crowd at the railway track Gownder loses courage decides not to go and see. Sunderesan persuades Shanmukam and  they near seeing the crowd and the policemen searching if any belongings are scattered nearby. Shanmukam who had hopes lose s heart sits down on the track crying. Uncle Sunderesan goes near and asks the cloth to be removed. He stares stunned at what he has seen.

KOLANGAL        
Kanchana comes near the cradle touches her grandson with a smile in her face. Usha coming to the baby with milk observes this. Hearing footsteps Kanchana leaves the room. Usha picks up the baby and the phone rings. Usha picks up and hears the voice of Maddy Anjali's friend saying endearing  words to Anjali. She cuts the phone getting worried where all this will lead to. She goes to her father in law and tells him. Anjali's latest boy friend and the phone call. Eashwaran appreciates Usha's concern. He goes and talks to his daughter and asks who this. Maddy was. Flaring up Anjali blames Usha for this aditya coming out slaps usha saying she has no right to interfere in Anjali[s affair. Anjali starts a tirade against Usha for getting pregnant before marriage and walking out of he engagement what right hasshe to preach to her. Arjun gets angry with Anjali for talking this way about Usha goes to slap Anjali and Aditya gets angry at Usha. Abhi's mother is anxious about her daughters. She wants Anandi's marriage to be prformed at the earliest so that at least she will be happily married. Abhi is confronted and asked to proceed on the Abhi tells her mother she has to talk to Anandi. Mother gives an ultimatum if it is not arranged she would die. Anandi hears all this. Tholkappian is asked to meet Anandi. She tells him that though she had agreed to their engagement she later felt she is not for the marriage and told him so. She tells him of meeting. Kartik in an asylum and how she felt responsible for his problems she has taken that responsibility. Thols says she is great to have so much compassion. As her mother is insisting on the marriage now she has come to him for help. Thols also tells her the same is the case with him. He  agreed at that time  because of his respect for Abhi. He assures her he will tell Abhi and she will understand.

SELVI              episode 380
Andavan  GJ and Tamarai and Kathan everybody except Tamarai is happy. Andavan tells her that as her father loves her so much he will come back soon. He tells Tamarai that    Dilipan should be punished. Tamarai makes an announcement that GJ will come back to be  MD of the oil business. Andavn's face falls but he has to put up a brave front. Maya who is not eating or talkingshe is coaxed by Andavan to put up a fight to ruin. Selvi Court summons for the acid throwing and cracker bomb case is served to maya. At the court Dilipan's evidence and other evidence clinches the issue. Maya is given 7 years jail and kanaka 7 years lail. Tamarai is confronted by Selvi. Selvi tells her she is a changed person and justice will win.

PENN
On seeing Uma, Ranganayaki gets flustered, calls Bharani to her side. Uma reaches into her purse. Then she has some recollection of a nightmare where Uma reaches into her purse for a gun and shoots Bharani, and rushes to Uma pleading not to kill Bharani, and then collapses. Later, her father and other relatives advance on Uma, saying she has brought this on Ranga. Uma says it was a get well card (takes out and shows it). She marches out in disgust. Doctor reveals that Ranga has had a severe heart attack, and would need a bypass shortly. Advises complete rest, and tells family and business associates to keep away. Father talks about will, but is silenced.
At Solai's place, Mohini has second thoughts about her promise to be Solai's girl friend. She now says she is a married woman and Senthil is her husband. Solai does not force himself on her, but is quite upset by this sudden onset of morality in her. As they are talking, Bharani comes with the paper signed by Ranga.
At Senthil's place, father and mother are arguing. Mother insists Mohini and Senthil should be put back together. Father says, after all that's happened, that would be insane. She insists. Mohini waits near Senthil's house, catches Senthil as he approaches in his motorbike. Says she wants them to get back together. He brushes her off, saying he cannot forget all she's done. She says that was because he beat her. He says nothing doing. I'll send you a divorce notice shortly. She threatens to make his life even more unbearable if he does not accede to her wishes. He remarks she has not changed at all. in any case, whether she formally accepts divorce or not, he will not live with her, but will devote his life to his parents' welfare. Then he leaves.
Next scene, Mohini is sitting in her Kadambam office, opening her post. One of the letters is an anonymous threat, saying her beautiful (sic) face is about to be defaced.

July 13

ANANDAM                 13th July 
Sreenivasan is stunned seeing Shyam enter the office along with Abhirami. She calls her staff and ask them to discuss all the details about work with him. Sreenivasan asks her why Shyam is here. He is going to look after everything says Abhirami. Going through the files Shyam finds a lot of errors. Nothing seems genuine. He gives instructions to the staff to collect all relevant papers and set right everything. Uma comes to Shanthi's house and apologises for not coming to the temple at the proper time. Before she could ask Shyam Abhirami had made him agree to go wihth her to the office. Shanthi says the temple visit can be arranged again but thinks Abhirami is again at her game. The staff of Abhirami come to Sreenivasan  saying Abhirami had dismissed all of them. He has to save them. Abhirami comes to Uma and requests her to ask Shyam to  take over the company. He has done a great job finding all the fraud committed in the busines. He has strengthened her by his presence. Uma says she can convey the message but the decision will be his. Shyam finds Uma very silent. He asks her if she is being treated well. Uma says she has no complaints and then conveys Abhirami's request  and ends saying the decision is his. Shyam thanks her for not promising  on his behalf. Shyam says he has much work in his own business he cannot take full responsibility.

MAlARGAL                                                                                                                                                                     
Karpagam vents out her feelings about Mallika. Revathy differs from her saying mallika is not a mean person meenakshi is a little scared to go to school after a long absence Shanmukam enters the house in a shocked state. He breaks down on seeing Gounder falling at his feet reprts Tulasi has left home. The whole family is shocked. Gounder consoles him assuring him they will find her. Tulasi overhears the conversation of the manager and the lady in charge deciding to go to the police. She leaves the ashram and gets into a bus going to Bangalore. Soon she hears that the bus will stop at Kancheepuram. She gets out of the bus and walks. A group of men drinking and playing cards finding a young woman alone chase her. She runs for her life. They surround her.

KOLANGAL        
Alamelu fights with her daughter for not doing any work in the house. Bhasker enters and scolds them for fighting all the time. He is very upset mother finds out the reason for it. She instigates  that Thols should be disgraced and separated from. Abhi. The house she is to build should be theirs and they should go and live there. Kartik in a missionary hospital. The doctor says he should be taken out. Such changes may bring about an improvement. Anandi and Bharathi decide to try that. Anandi thanks Bharath for all the support. At the post mortem place the results and the picture projected on the screen shows one dead person to be prabhu and the other is to be found the work is to continue. Tillai Rajan waiting outside asks for news. The cheif says it is not yet over but an informer gives the news that one person is Prabhu. Tillai Rajan reports this new to Aditya and the minister. They tell him now he has to  bring out that the other person is Upendra and the instigator is Abhi with the assistance of Tholkappian. At the site Abhi is shown some files to sign. She goes through the files and signs. Bhasker  who is here wants to talk to Abhi. He tells her Thols is not the sort of person she thinks he is. She has seen two incidents he has taken money from the office. He is planning to ruin you he said. Abhi tells him. She and Thols have been the best of friends. He has toiled with her for the Abhi constructions. He is a well wisher and at no time wil she doubt that. She knows what she is doing. Bhasker ''s plans fall flat.

SELVI       episode 379
Dilipan tells Selvi. She ought to have asked a few questions before leving. Selvi says that  the lessons that every  incident teaches her something valuable. She uses them as stepping stone  to better herself. Niranjan says but for his sister he would kill GJ Killing a man does not mean success says Selvi. At home the mother cries that she had done a great wrong to Selvi. Prabhanchan enters and asks the reason for her crying. Madhu tells him. Mother now blames Madhu for all the trouble. Just then the car arrives and Tamarai and GJ enter with shopping bags full of gifts. Happy that Selvi has gone they are all smiles. Prabhanchan catches hold of GJ and accuses him as the  ace turncoat. Tamarai gives him a slap. Prabhanchan accuses his mother for doing this to. Selvi. Akka. She will now join these vultures. Thay will keep her happy with gifts. He leaves. At Tamarai's parents house GJ and Siva are enjoying a joke about driving Selvi out that fast. Father enters asking what they are celeberating. He turns round to them to be ashamed of their actions. He asks them to listen to what he has to say. He tells them Selvi did not get married to GJ for money. She refused to do this to her friend. Tamarai The children were the cause for her acceptance. She never knew about the house given to her mother as she would have refused it at the outset. He turns to GJ saying he has always been after money but not Selvi. He tells his daughter that Selvi did penances looked after her day and night and we all begged her to do this. Selvi has been treated very badly. He has earned all this money and he can give it to anyone. He has seen the frailties of the people around. He is leaving and they can all live their lives the way they want to. He leaves he goes straight to Selvi. She welcomes him as usual. Asks him why he kept the house deal from her he gives his explanation. He knew she would not accept and he owed her the gratitude for the sacrifice she made he asks her to forgive him if she can. He tells her he has left his home.

PENN
Swati and Vijay meet. She asks him to persuade his mother to come and talk with her mother in the hospital. Preferably, he should talk to his mother when his sister Mohini and father are not around. He goes away, agreeing. In the hospital room, Kala and Badri are visiting, as are Swati and Bharani. Ranganayaki sends everyone else out, saying she needs to talk to Kala and Badri. She says Badri should take over his company, becase she is incapable of running it any more. There is obviously some prior relationship between them. She extends her hand but he does not take it. He says she has to come back, and leaves the room. Kala says to sign some papers in a file and send it back with Deepa. Bharani enters. He sneaks in some other paper (the house ownership, presumably) and makes gets her to sign all the papers, promising to take them back to the office. She does so, absentmindedly as he distracts her with talk about home, her granddaughter, etc. Then Swati enters, saying Uma and Vijay will be coming. Ranga does not want Uma to see Bharani there. But she is already there, and opens the door to see Bharani, standing there petrified.
Poongadi continues to insist Kailash promised to marry her, though she knows this is false. Kailash is angry with her. His father is angry with him.
Penn has run out ideas. It is more and more a waste of time. Unless I hear frantic appeals from readers, I have a good mind to drop it from the update list.
