KOLANGAL
Ganga talks to Tolkappian and tells him about the partners' visit to Rajamani madam. He suggests selling off the rest of the flats (even if at a small loss) and getting out of the troublesome deal. Ramachandran is listening from behind the pillars in the unfinished building.

Abhi tells her mother about her plan to build a home. The maistry comes home to get some instructions. He seems to hold Abhi in much esteem, and says that for her, nothing but the best quality materials, and each brick individually selected, etc.

Arti goes over to Suresh and tells him that Maddy's men are out looking for him to retaliate. He tries to get her to stay, but she says she never wants to see him again, and it is of no interest to her whether he lives or dies.

SELVI
Tamarai'skids discover that their grandfather (GJ's dad) who has just returned from the hospital, has died suddenly. Everyone assembles at her house, including Ranjani and her husband. GJ, in jail, hears about it, and does a great soliloquy of how tears don't come to him, and he is afraid of going to see his father, because people will say the son is umoved.
Pooja hears of it, and rushes to Tamarai's place.

PENN
Ranga's story continues. She persuades the midwife not to kill the baby, but permit it to live and take it to an ashram instead. Later she talks to Kala, when she comes to commiserate with her about the baby's killing. When she tells Kala the baby is alive, Kala says, let me raise him, I'll keep him as a memory of Badri (is this twisted or what?) Bad acting, combined with terrible storytelling. Unconvincing.
