Tiruvengadam tries without success to get a good price for his house so as to pay off the cops. Everyone realizes his desperation and offers a low price. He does not agree to any offer.

At Abhi Const., meeting to finalize purchase of existing homes for demolition and rebuilding. Bhaskar claims to have verified all the titles, loans, etc. Tolkappian tries to find Abhi, is told she is in a meeting. Peon Ramachandran stops him when he tries to enter the meeting room, telling him Abhi has asked him not to allow anyone ('anyone') to enter. Tolkappian is upset, but he keeps calmand enters the meeting room. Abhi is cold, and tells him she is busy, and to wait in her room. Like a schoolboy from a headmaster's office, he is dismissed to wait outside.

Anu looks for a job, claims she knows computer stuff, including, get this, C++ and Java. She accepts a front office job with a small subcontractor (working for Adi, though she doesn't know it) and agrees to do all and any jobs, including making tea and coffee at a stove.

Ganga comes to Adi with a report of what's going on. He tells her they should try again, asks her to bring Tols to see him, this time under a different pretext. He is givng Ganga a separate plot of land to develop. He wants her to bring Tols to see the lot.

Later, he has some of his hired goondas come to him and gives them some instructions.

SELVI
Pooja talks with Pasupathi, who has expressed his love for her. She says she will have to think of him. Later she meets him and says she will agree to love him if he does one job for her. She gives him Amar's photo and says she wants him destroyed. He decides he will do this and then go straight.

Later, Pasupathi is talking with GJ, telling him he is done with this life, except for one last assignment. GJ says, who, maybe I can help. He is about to take out the photo from his pocket when Amar himself shows up. He pushes the photo firmly back into his pocket and stares in amazement at this coincidence.

Selvi marches into the GJ/Tamarai residence, calling out for GJ. Both GJ and Tamarai come out. She accuses him of kidnapping Andavan and Karthan. Tamarai is shocked, GJ does his usual unconvincingly convincing act of denial. Tamarai says she doesn't believe him. Then, she suddenly turns to Selvi and says, do you think I would believe you? I just did this two minute act to get your hopes up.

PENN
Poongadi comes to Kailash's place. He is not there, but his father is. Father receives her with affection and she offers to clean up the place. She discovers the tape that Ranga gave Kailash, telling him to give to Kala if she should die during surgery. She gives it to Kasi, who goes on about Kailash's lack of responsibility. Meanwhile Poongadi's mother comes, gives her a tight slap, and drags her away. She is still puzzled and frustrated at why a boy who agreed to marry her should suddenly change his mind. (After Poongadi goes out with him to pour water to wash his hands, she tells him she is already married to someone else. He comes back and starts demanding a huge dowry, and the deal goes sour).

Kasi dutifully delivers the tape to Kala. Kala tells him that Akash is flying back from America to see Ranga.

She leaves home, and then returns to pick up the tape.
