KOLANGAL
Tiruvengadam family is on the streets after the new owner (purchased house for 40 lakhs, real worth of home 2 crore, per Tiruvengadam) gives them notice to vacate by next day. Wife, daughter, and daughter in law completely taken by surprise by news of house sale. Tiruvengadam vows to make a comeback, and departs with furniture, perhaps to sell it. Mother sees truck depart, much breastbeating at their fate, then faints.
Bhaskar consoles mother and says a 5 lakh payment will be forthcoming shortly as commission for a sale. Mother has rupee signs dancing in her eyes. Sister thrilled too. Mother asks, that is from the seller. What about Abhi? Won't you be getting a payment from her?
SELVI
Selvi asks Ceylon Mani what she would do if she discovered her husband was wrong, assuring her the question is purely hypothetical. Ceylon Mani replies without hesitation -- I would keep shut. The motives are intriguing. She says, if he goes to jail, what happens to me? So much for pativratahood. Selvi is pleased by the answer (what an imperious creature) praises Ceylon Mani on how far she's come.
Tamarai brings Selvi's mother to see Amar. Tells her Selvi's extraordinary story. Mother pleased by new piece of information which can be used to advantage. At Amar's place, they find GJ, a surprise. Amar called me, GJ lies. Amar starts to deny it, but shuts up on GJ's firm insistence. Mother tells him, I have important news about your father. GJ has kidnapped him. Dead silence. Amar proceeds to confront GJ, when she adds, "that's what Selvi says. But don't you believe her." Amar backs off, with protestations of how much GJ has stood by him during these difficult times.
Pandian dispatches Pasupathi to set right the fellows who have been spotted hanging out with his daughter.
PENN
Kala changes her mind, comes back, and listens to Ranga's tape. Later Akash discovers (is told by his father) how the tape has already been delivered to Kala. Rushes to Kala's house (running, instead of motorbike, to get there quicker!) and makes up a flimsy story about some music tape. Kala quietly gives the tape back to him, having heard it already, and wondered about what to do about Akash.
Manohar is sitting in a room, staring at various old photos. Father sees him in this state.

NK and Sivagami arrive at Indira's house and is informed by the servant that noones is at home. So they leave theri contact number and leave.
Sivagami is upset about the way her children's lives had turned out. She was initially happy for Vidya but now know that Vidya herself is in a bad state. Nk reassures her that everything will turn out better and to leave everything to God.
Tulz is being told by Linga's wife to eat but she refuses. She says she can't trust anyone as the brothel woman was nice and turned out to be bad, now she is unsure as to if Linga's wife is sincere. Thulz is shocked at how the wife could keep quiet and watch what her husband is doing. The wifey says that Linga was all the while keeping the company of abd women. For once, it is with a good woman and she is happy. She goes on to say that she has to bear all for her children. She also assures Thulz that she wil help her escape. Meanwhile, Linga overhears this and beats up his wife. He wants to kill her and her children start crying. Thulz intervenes. He gives her an ultimatum, that she either marries him or he kills his wife and starts a countdown. Despite the wife's pleadings, Thulz agrees to marry him. He is aware that Thulz may have agreed to save his wife, so he told her to think about it and sends his wife to the hospital and to find an auspicious date for marriage.
Bhaskars packs his stuff and is ready to leave. His FIL, the josia paithiam is telling him not to go as it is not a good day. Bhaskar is not bothered. Bahskar goes to Mallika and tells her he listened to whatever she wanted him to do and now she would not listen to him, when he suggested to saty with Siva. So he does not feel bad about leaving her but feels sad on leaving his son. FIL tells him he can come anytime to visit his son.
After he leaves, Malliga fears whether this absence might be a permanent one. Her father says this is a short absence and you two might understand each other better. Her mother says even if he does not want to come back, your child will make him come to you..
The Inspector is questioning Sharadha on the stolen Vidya's chain. Sharadha does not respond and instead tells him to talk to the people who gave the complaint. Ramesh arrives and apologises to the cop, as he ahd to bring Vidhya to the hospital as she was unwell. The cop tells him he has an idea of what happened and informed Rames about his mother's cold attitude. After he leaves, Sharada angrily tells Ramesh that she brought vidya here for Ramesh and she does not want to get involved as Vidhya is trying to get close to her. So she tells them to leave. His brotehr jumps to the defence and is silenced by the mother. Ramesh and vidya go up to their room and Vidya whines that she did not hurt her MIL in anyway and she does not know why her MIL is so cold towards her. Ramesh blames it on Ashok and Vidhya gets upset...
August 17:
Linga's children inform thulsi that their mom wants to see her. Thulz goes in to see her and Linga's wife is grateful to Thulz for saving her life. Thulz is upset as she regrets agreeing to Linga and does not how she is going to face her mama (Shan). She wants to die. Linga's wife says that she would help her escape. Linga enters and gives some sarees to Thulz and informs he of his desire to marry her soon. He tells her that once they egt amrried, she will forget her mama.
Meenakshi asks her mum before leaving for school, what kuzhambu she was making. her mum answers vathakuzhambu. Sivagami starts crying as Thulz loved that dish. NK and Revathy console her. Nk then calls Shan if he has any news of Thulz. Shan's dad answers that there is no news and that it is making his son insane. NK consoles him and told Sivagamy that Shan's house is in a mess too and if only Thulz had been more sensible, this would not have happened. He tells Moorthy to keep Shan company for 4 days. NK tells him to bear with Saras.
Amlu calls Siva to meet her as her father is not home. As Siva is leaving, Bhaskar arrives and tells Siva that he is gonna stay ther with him as he and Mallika are on bad terms. Siva's residence mate comes to borrow tooth paste. he says that at least Bhaskar only has one wife to handle but he has two and therefore he stays here to get away from them. Siva gets worked up on hearing this and decides not to meet biwi no. 2.
2 men come to the brothel to get the apalam. One of them is a friend of Shan's. He asks one of the girls for an extra bag to put some balance apalam in. The girl gives him Thuls bag. He is shocked at seeing Shan's and Thuls photo inside. he questions the girl and she says thulz has been bought and sold already and she no longer lives there. he wants to find out more but Madam arrives and cuts the conversation. They leave to call Shan and Madam is looking at them in doubt...
