KOLANGAL
Adi is in shock after Abhi's visit. Minister comes to see him, and is surprised at his dazed condition. Adi says Abhi has a joint agreement with all 10 flat owners. If only they could get the original of that agreement, things would be fine. He calls Ganga over, and promises her the land he showed her if she steals the paper and brings it to him. She readily agrees.

At her home, Ganga returns to find her father in a rage at her collecting rent directly from the garage owner (renter). She tells him to go fly a kite. When he raises his hand to hit her, she says those days are long gone, and he would be well-advised to mind his manners.

Abhi, who was previously totally convinced of Tolkappian's guilt, is now equally convinced of his innocence. She tells Rajamani, who comes to protest at her going to Adi's office, that this is how she is going to deal with the matter, and while she can assure RM that no harm will come to her interests, she cannot allow RM to dictate policy. In plain Tamil, buzz off.

This gives Rajamani Madam the vapors, and in short order she is propped up against the pillows (hard to tell which is which), with the doctor remarking that the blood pressure is making some capricious moves. Ranga the Faithful is by her side. She asks RM about any family, and why she herself decided not to marry. RM says she has only one sister, who married an abusive man. Their son is now in Singapore, and she is close to him. She introduces him to Ganga over the phone, and looks to see if something might spark.

Ramachandran tries to tell Abhi that Ranga was plotting with Tolkappian to sell the remaining 7 flats.

Abhi's family arguments continue as usual, Aarti's usual petulance and Anu's righteous indignation.

SELVI
Pandian persuades the doctor to treat his daughter by making him an offer he cannot refuse (pulls out his knife when the doctor says, this is a suicide case, go to the police). Later he apologizes and insists on paying the doctor, saying he does not accept charity. For all the trouble, his daughter's first act on recovering 'conscious' is to tell her father she no longer likes him. Pandian's face is a fascinating study.

GJ makes a sloshy account to Tamarai of how the cops keep beating him up at will. Clouseau has threatened shock treatment (how casually these things are shown and accepted in the serial is an index of society's attitudes, I suppose). She says she will be with him.

Amar threatens James and extracts a phone number to reach Pandian's associate, Chinnadorai.

PENN
Poongadi's mother arranges a 'first night'. Kailash wants to use the occasion to wring her neck. She promises to go away after six months. Until then, Kailash tells her, she must sleep on the ground and not on the bed. She agrees.

Ranga's flashback continues. Her sister's husband starts drinking even more and dies. She refuses to throw off her 'taali'. How could she when Badri was still alive? Badri came back and started KFP. She made Kala and Uma partners despite Badri's warnings. The venture took off, and the rest, as they say, is history. Bharani and his siblings consider her their mother, in fact, they don't know any different (surmise). After she finishes, Deepa declares that she must unite with Badri. Not until Swati's wedding, says Ranganayagi.

Last scene, Ranga is out of town. Bharani's dad's death anniversary ceremonies are taking place.
